I wasn't sure where to wait for the pick up bus. pick up point is the intersection of SH46 (main road) and the road leading up to the Ketetahi carpark... so I was waiting at the entrance of the car park. It will be great if the pick-up point is more clear. :) 픽업 장소가 헷갈려요. 이메일 받은 내용으로는 46번 도로와 주차장으로 들어가는 길이 만나는 지점에서 기다리면 된다고 했는데 다른 사람들은 크로싱 끝나는 지점 가는 길과 46번 도로 만나는 곳에서 기다리더라구요. 일행과 나눠서 두 지점에서 기다리려고 하던 찰나에 차량이 와서 픽업했는데 아직도 정확한 픽업 장소가 어디었는지 모르겠다는........... 전반적으로 친절하고 좋았어요. 추천합니다! 리컨펌할때 픽업장소 확실히 물어보시길!!! :-)

8시 15분 픽업이래서 셔틀탑승장소에 8시 5분경 도착했으나 나타나지 않았습니다. 이 업체말고 다른업체로 북미말고 직접 예약하시길 추천드립니다.

Had you bothered to reconfirm your booking, looked at your emails, or even phoned, you would have discovered that the shuttles were not operating due to a Department of Conservation Bad Weather Advisory in place and that all shuttles were cancelled. Had you reconfirmed you would have been offered an alternate date or a refund, the offer of these options have expired. I can also assure you that we are 100% Kiwi owned and operated and so is the booking platform you used. As Department of Conservation Concessionaires we take your safety seriously and having been involved with the Crossing for more than 30 years through being a guide and part of rescue services, we have seen the results of poor decision making in an alpine environment. Key Points to reiterate 1 Always reconfirm your booking. 2 Check your emails before proceeding. 3 Phone your Shuttle Provider. 4 Take responsibility for the decisions you make. 5 Don't blame others for your mistakes.

차량 픽업해주는 위치가 너무 헷갈렸는데 알려드려요 구글지도에 tongariro crossing mountain shuttle 검색하셔서 가시면 되고 주차는 그 부근에 가시면 도로가에 차들이 주차가 되어있는데 따라 주차하시면 되어요 바로 근처에 큰 주차장이 있고 주차요원이 있는데 4시간 이상은 유료라는 얘기를 들어서 (확인해본건 아님) 주차장에 하지 않고 도로가에 주차하였습니다. 차량을 기다려야 하는곳이 헷갈리는데 어디냐면 그 도로가에 서 계시면 되는데 통가리로 알파인크로싱 도로로 들어가는 입구 건너편에 서서 기다리시면 됩니다. (도로가에 파란색 car park 간판있는곳, 첨부사진속에 여자가 서있는곳)(=첨부된 사진 속에 파란색 점이 표시된 곳)(첨부사진 확인하세요) 근처 주차장 안에서 기다리시면 절대 차 안옵니다. 도로가에 제가 말한 곳에서 기다리시면 됩니다. 그래도 혹시모르니 확실하게 하려면 도로가에 주차요원이 서 계시는데 8:15분 차는 어디서 기다려야 하냐고 물어보시면 잘알려줍니다. 다른 회사의 픽업차량은 미리 와서 체크인을 하길래 거긴줄 알고 갔었는데 8:15분 차량이라고 말하니까 기다려야 할곳을 알려주더라고요 기다렸더니 작은 봉고차 두대가 5분전에 왔고 이름을 확인한 뒤 태워 주었습니다. 트래킹 후기: 올라가는 길은 일반 등산길 같고 그리 안힘들어요.경치가 끝내줍니다. 오르막길 내리막길을 반복하면서 마지막에 젤 높은곳을찍어요 내리막길이 두가지로 대박입니다. 첫째는 맨 정상을 찍고 내려가는 부근이 너무나도 가파른데 잡고 갈 난간도 없고, 계단도 아니고.(사진첨부) 바닥은 돌과 흙무더기라서 몇번을 미끌어집니다. 여름이었는데 겨울엔 위험하지 않을까 걱정이 되네요. 둘째는 내려가다가 산 중턱쯤 타우포 호수가 보이기 시작하더니 차를 주차한 도로가 저멀리 보이기 시작했습니다. (사진첨부)우리는 다 왔다고 열심히 내려가기만 하면 된다고 생각했고 트래킹이 별로 힘들지 않다고 얘기했습니다. 그런데 그 길로 거의 3~4시간을 비슷한 경관만 보면서 내려가기만 했습니다. 끝이라고 생각했는데 끝이 안났습니다. 도를 닦는 기분이었습니다. 후회감이 들정도로 내리막길이 힘들더군요 ㅠㅠ 그 후 이틀동안 저는 여자인데 엉덩이뼈랑 다리뼈가 아파 잘 걷지를 못했습니다. 트래킹은 여행 마지막에 하시길 적극 권장합니다. 여행 초반이었다면 끔찍하네요. 물론 건장한 남자는 저보다는 괜찮았지만 다음날 무릎이 아프다고 했습니다. 여튼 내리막길은 힘듭니다. 여행용 스틱이 있다면 괜찮을란가요? 있다면 챙기시길!! 아 그리고 마지막에 완주하고 나면 끝이 아닙니다 차가 주차된 도로로 나가려면 1키로를 더 걸어가야하거든요. 타우포나 다른곳에서 왕복 셔틀을 신청한사람은 이 지점에서 차가 대기하고 있다가 타고 가더라구요 부러웠습니다

렌트카가 있어서 46번 국도에 무료 주차 하고 셔틀 타고 47번 국도와 연결된 시작점에서 트레킹 시작했습니다! 셔틀 제시간에 오고 한번에 3대가 와서 기다릴 필요없이 한번에 사람들 다 탈 수 있었어요!

구글맵에 Ketetahi 주차장 검색하시고 길가에 주차하시면됩니다. 각 업체들이 봉고차같은 차들을 가지고 나와있는데 모르겠으면 HQ 어드벤처 회사명이나 8시15분 픽업이라고 말씀해주시면 다들 어디로 가라고 안내해주실겁니다. Ketetahi(final point) ->Mangatepopo (start point) 준비물 ㆍ1.5L 물 (한두모금씩 조금씩 나눠 마시기) ㆍ빵,초콜렛 (간식) 쓰레기는 가방에 넣어돌아갑시다. ㆍ바람막이 ㆍ등산모 (탐험가모자) ㆍ날씨체크 (구글검색) 등산화를 살까 고민했었는데 등산양말ㆍ워커 신고 다녀왔구요 구간ㆍ시간별로 덥고 추워져서 저는 나시,맨투맨,바람막이로 입고 하산할때는 허리에 둘러매고 내려왔습니다. 모두 즐거운 추억 만드시길 바라겠습니다.
