As you walk down to the starting point of your 3-hour cave tour, prepare yourself for a breathtaking adventure.

The Lost World is a deep and spectacular cavern in the Waitomo Caves area. It’s well known for its dramatic 100m abseil and adventure caving activities.

On this more-gentle option, there is no abseiling. You access 'Lost World' via an adjacent sinkhole known as 'The Window'. An exposed stairway clings to the side of an underground cliff and leads you into the 'Lost World' abyss.

Marvel at the breathtaking views that are to be enjoyed from the viewing platform high upon the cave wall.

From here zip-lines in the roof of the cavern take you along through upper levels of the cave system before you make your way along rock ledges en route to the surface.

Embrace the beauty of Waitomo's caves on this spectacular tour!
