Experience Mother Nature's light display! Meander underground silently through the starry wonderland of a Glowworm Grotto on an underground stream and gaze in silence at the myriad of glow-worm lights that make up the Glowworm Caves in Waitomo. Before you enter this galaxy of tiny living lights you will walk with an official guide through the caves with its many stalactites and stalagmites, you will experience a serene ambience and be fascinated and intrigued by tiny glow-worms that light your way.
We leave Waitomo caves and head for a completely different Experience "The Hobbiton Movie Set" where we wander around the vegetable patches were Hobbits grow their food with giant pumpkins lying around and an official Hobbiton guide explaining movie secrets and how this world was created, the attention to detail that is truly mind-boggling. Walk past the Mill and the famous Party Tree that were featured in "The Lord of the Rings" and "The Hobbit" films.

Funny journey
Patient and easy going driver. Cheaper than other websites, quick reply for your any questions. I recommend it to book and play in New Zealand.

Beautiful places with lovely driver
Very high quality service, van was comfortable and driver was very friendly. Since our group was small, our driver took the chance to engage on welcoming conversations with all the riders. He told very interesting facts about the places we were passing through during our trip, including a stop at a austrich farm for pictures and feeding the animals. The glowworms cave are a beautiful experience, although somewhat short. But I guess the tour have to be compact because there are a lot of people. Hobbitton is a very lovely experience! It is very good to enter a little bit into the middle Earth world. There aren't any props from things not related to the shire, but it is still a very interesting visit. The place is very well taken care, with staff gardening often, making the shire a very welcoming place.

Un guide très sympa
Une promenade depuis Rotorua très agréable grâce à notre guide. Le trajet jusqu'à Waitomo est un peu long mais les explications sur le chemin sont très enrichissantes Les grottes de Waitomo sont très impressionnantes mais par contre la promenade en barque pour observer les Glowworms est trop brève. Peut-être qu'il y a trop de touristes. La visite du site Hobbiton a été très sympa, le rythme de la visite permettant de bien profiter des divers aménagements. Un beau moment mais finalement je suis restée sur ma faim concernant les Glowworms.

All touts with Rotorua day tours were cancelled. I've sent emails to request the refund but no one response. Please help.

Good value for money
Tour is well-organized and we have enough time to explore the Glowworm cave and Hobbiton.
