We signed in on tablet .About 20 mins on road to turn off then 4 wd road rough in places .Stop at hut for toilet break .4wd gets you close to crater rim .So less hiking .Was cloudy so no views of lakes .We hiked along rim to summit at 1111 mts took photos .Our guide Ben was informative about history and told us 3 story's .We hiked into crater on steep downward slope of volcanic rocks .Crater very colourful and guide explained different rocks in crater .then hike up steep ledge back to crater rim .Was cloudy but seeing mist was good as well .About 4 Kms of hiking with photo stops taking my time wasn't rushed by guide .Trip worth doing via bookme at 99 but company price is 185 Picked up about 10 .05am back at 2 30 pm so 4 .5 HR trip with stops and history talks .Good trip but mine was cloudy be better on a sunny day
