Your local Māori guide will tell you ancient and modern stories of conflict, chivalry, understandings and misunderstandings. We will follow the pathways of the Māori warriors, British militia and the impact that it had on Tauranga and New Zealand history.

You will visit the sites where fortified villages and militia redoubts once stood. There will be an opportunity to stroll amongst buildings and walkways from the early days of European settlement. From the heights of the surrounding hills you will have a stunning, panoramic view of the harbour and coastline.
