Highlights

  • Food and beer tasting
  • Stunning views of an active volcano
  • Visit an oyster farm and brewery
  • Real Berry ice-cream at a berry farm

We depart our tour from the Cruise Port in Tauranga at 9 am or Whakatane I-site on Quay Street, heading to our first stop, a French delicatessen/bakery where you will be treated to a platter of their finest cheeses.

We will stop to admire the views of the bay including the “smoking” White Island which is the areas most active volcano and Moutohora Island which is also a wildlife sanctuary.

Driving around the harbour we arrive at an oyster farm for tastings of fresh oysters, mussels and smoked fish. (Smoked fish subject to availability). They are famous locally for their fish, chips and burgers if you are wanting something extra too (optional extra).

Onto the world-famous-in-New-Zealand berry farm with the most delicious berries and enjoy a massive real berry ice-cream.

What better way to finish off the tour than with beer and pizza, we head to an iconic, award-winning brewery that is locally owned and specialises in craft beers.

Tastes of NZ

Stephanie was our guide and she was wonderful. Always took time to explain things. We experienced lovely food, wines, beer and even ice cream. At each stop we had personal service which was really good. Would highly recommend this tour.
