    Evening Glow Worm Kayak Tour

Highly recommended, fun yet safety conscious tour suitable for all ages. Fantastic experience, for my first ever glow worm kayaking evening tour. Out guides Jono and Emile, ran things like clockwork, oozing with professionalism. Clearly both are highly experienced kayakers. There was no waiting around, everything was so well organised that our evening flowed calmly and smoothly without a hiccup. The wine and nibbles set the scene right from the start. I am an experienced kayaker so didn’t need any additional assistance. We had a few in our group who had never kayaked. They were given all the guidance they needed to relax and thoroughly enjoy the misty kayak to and from the glow worm cave. And man, that cave blew my mind!!! Thanks for a fantastic evening and a definite highlight of my North Island holiday.

    Wonderful

Really loved it. The kayak to the cavern is super easy and you get given loads of clothes to keep you warm and dry. Being on the lake in the dark is something different and surreal. Once you get to the glow worms you just stare in awe and our guide told us a really lovely Maori story of how the glow worms came to exist. The story and sitting there surrounded by glow worms and the stars in the sky created a really magical atmosphere that I didn’t want to end.

Free walk at mc Larenfalls park just as beautiful

The kayak tour is at mc Laren Falls park. We slept there the night before and walked the free glowworm walk. That is beautiful. Just as nice as this payed tour. We had fun with the guids, their jokes and kayaking is nice but we wouldnt have booked it as we knew everything before because on the pictures on the internet you see real cafés, we didnt kayak there. And not so much glowworms as on the pictures.
