Put your detective skills to the test as you and your mates embark on a real-life secret mission around Wellington!
This fun and interactive mission allows you to put your problem-solving skills to the test in real life, and will challenge you in more ways than any computer game could!
Channel your inner detective as you and your team come together to complete an outdoor clue solving mission that takes place around the streets of Wellington. Using a series of clues and the help of your team mates, your mission is to help a beloved pet, Paddy the dog, find its lost owner.
Mission: 'The Search for the Lost Human' begins outside the Wellington Museum next to the statue of a dog, Paddy the Wanderer, which is where you'll receive your first clue. From there, you'll set off on foot around the streets of Wellington solving various clues in the hopes of tracking down Paddy's lost human.
Once you have found your answer, you will simply message us in order to get your new clue, but you’ll want to be quick in order to reach the top of the leaderboard and make Clue Zealand history!
Depending on your detective skills, the mystery will take 1-2 hours to solve and will include 2km of walking, taking a break halfway if needed. We recommend having teams of up to 6x detectives. If you have a larger group you can divide into teams to compete against each other. If you have young detectives we have a family-friendly option too!
Experience this exciting interactive adventure throughout Wellington, problem-solving, solving challenges and working as a team to complete the mission!
Bought the family version and meandered around Wellington looking at things we have never seen before. We stopped often and took nearly 3 hours, but it doesn't need to take that long. Some answers are harder to find than others, but I understand you can request a hint if it is getting tricky.
Good family fun and a great way to learn about and notice things in our city! We did the Challenge++ and even our 11 year old in the team didn't find it too hard. Fun way to get some exercise too! ?
I’m an old girl from Wellington but had moved away 10 yrs ago. My 14 yr old and I did Clue Zealand on a recent trip. It was amazing where you went and the clues were hard enough to make you think but not give up! We partnered it with Flamingo scooters and had an absolute blast! Going to give the Rotorua one a go next.
Really great sunny day, fun way to explore Wellington! Really loved it was based upon Paddy the Wanderer!

Brilliant.
Warm/hot day. Busy but we got there! And we’re not Wellingtonians.
