Return Ferry to Days Bay - East by West Ferries

I was told if you see white peaks on the water not to go but I had already booked the trip. Luckily the Ferry trip was pleasant. My only comment is that the Ferry says Dominion Post in big letters on the front of it and is not immediately clear that is the East West ferry. The beach is gorgeous and has kayaks for hire at the beach. My daughter enjoyed the swimming however if you have small children it does get deep fairly quickly or bring boogie boards. We ordered ice creams from the Ferry's freezer and ate them on the ferry going back. This was one of our daughters holiday highlights. If you don't know Wellington leave with plenty of time to find the wharf and ferry.
