Experience the beauty of New Zealand's Franz Josef Glacier country on horseback. This is horse riding in paradise with a stunning backdrop of mountain ranges and rain-forest. Soak up the magnificent views of the Southern Alps and our highest peaks, and the spectacular glacier, as you trek over lush farmland, glacial moraine and the riverbeds.
Our two hour trek enables riders to canter through the fields if they wish, but at the same time provides a safe trek environment for beginners who can ride at a more leisurely pace. Ride through private farmland down to the clearest of streams.
Take time for a photo whilst on your horse in the incredible river water, with the backdrop of the snowy peaks or New Zealand's West Coast and rain forest framing you.
Our treks provide the personal touch and allow riders to get to know each other and this gives the guides an opportunity to offer riding tips along the way.
Price: $170 Per Person (minimum 5 years of age)

Durchaus weiterzuempfehlen
Das Wetter hat bei mir leider nicht ganz so mitgespielt, zum Glück ist es trocken geblieben. Für Leute, die nicht so viel Erfahrung mit Pferden oder reiten haben sicherlich netter, da sie sich mehr auf die Landschaft konzentrieren können. Mir war es etwas zu wenig Action, da wir größtenteils nur im Schritt geritten sind. Kurze Passagen mit Trab und Kentern, trotzdem hätte ich mir da etwas mehr erwünscht. Ansonsten: Superschöne Landschaft und der Teil durch den Regenwald ist spannend und wunderschön :>

Fantastic
Excellent way to see Franz Josef. Really relaxing and the girls who guided us were so lovely. ? recommend. Zeus and Ned ??, our horses, were patient and really gentle.

Absolutely amazing!
Absolutely fantastic, both the views and the guides were amazing. I loved how I was able to go and canter away from the group in a controlled manner, the freedom was great.

Awesome experience
What a great way to see the coast. The horses are great, the guides friendly and relaxed. If you're looking for a different way to view the glacier or scenery then book this.

Netter Ausritt
Nette Guides, die Pferde waren sehr gut gepflegt. Wenn man ein erfahrener Reiter ist mag es je nach Gruppenzusammensetzung vielleicht ein wenig langweilig sein, es wird quasi nur Schritt geritten, die Gruppen sind gemischt und daher ist die gesamte Tour eher auf Anfänger ausgerichtet. Landschaftlich ist es sehr schön und vom Preis her auch in Ordnung.
