Sarah said... We booked this to avoid the rain - best decision! The experience was really inspiring & immersive, and I loved that all the signage was in Te Reo and English so I had a chance to learn more about the language as well. The myths were fascinating, how they merged into the history of the discovery of pounamu and the settlement of the area, the Māori wars for control of the mountainous region that held the treasured green stone and the routes from east to west, and later European colonisation. Really worthwhile exhibition and beautifully & creatively presented.
