Fashion revolutionary Mary Quant comes to Tāmaki Makaurau in a major exhibition this summer – join the fashion, freedom, fun!
Discover the work of legendary fashion designer Mary Quant this summer at Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tāmaki.
An absolute must see, this international exhibition is here from the V&A in London and gives you an insight into Mary Quant: the Fashion Revolutionary icon who created a new look for modern women by embracing new mass production techniques and harnessing the youthful spirit of the sixties.
Mary Quant was a powerful role model for the working woman, her clothes embodying the energy and fun of swinging London and famously modelled by Twiggy, Grace Coddington and more.
Not one for following the status quo, Quant encouraged a new age of feminism and is the face of the miniskirt, popularised colourful tights and tailored trousers.

Well worth it! Great afternoon out
So easy to book and the Mary Quant exhibition was fantastic and such an iconic designer- so good to be doing something cultural again in these crazy covid times! Will definitely use Bookme again.
We had tickets for the Mary Quant exhibition yesterday, we got there after work on Friday when the website says the gallery is open late night Friday until 9pm only to find a sign saying it had shut at 5pm! We were gutted, especially as I had double-checked on the website to make sure I had got it right! A waste of $$ as the tickets were only valid for yesterday! Please update your website if you’re not going to be open at the advertised times.

Blast from the Past
Mary Quant design was all the rage when I was growing up so seeing her fashion was a lovely trip down memory lane.
