Starters:
Bruschette Fantasia
Flame Grilled Ciabatta, rubbed with garlic, dressed with extra virgin olive oil, and topping of the day.
Calamari in Padella
Polenta coated calamari rings, sautéed in extra virgin olive oil with garlic and parsley served with Gusto's home-made mayonnaise
Cannelloni alla Bolognese
Fresh home-made pasta tubes filled with Bolognese sauce, finished with besciamella and mozzarella cheese. Baked till golden.
Mains:
Risotto di zucca e spinacci
Carnaroli rice with white wine, onion, pumpkin, ricotta, spinach and thyme.
Brasato al marsala
Slow-cooked Beef with marsala wine, aromatic vegetables and Italian Herbs. Served with polenta and marsala sauce.
Pollo alla Grappa
Free range chicken breast, pan fried in butter, cooked with onion, Italian grappa, cream and Italian parsley, served with seasonal vegetables.
Dessert:
Home-made tiramisu
Savoiardi biscuits dipped in espresso coffee, layered with a whipped mixture of egg yolks, mascarpone and sugar and topped with cocoa. The Italian name tiramisu means pick-me-up metaphorically make me happy a reference to the two caffeine-containing ingredients, espresso coffee and cocoa.
Gelato Affogato
A scoop of either vanilla or chocolate home-made ice cream topped with a shot of hot espresso.
