Waiheke Wine Tour
We had a great time with Graeme touring us around. He not just showed us the wineries, but he even tell us the history of the vineyard and other places in Waiheke. He made us feel welcome in the wine tour. We really recommend to book this wine tour and also to have Graeme as your tour guide. God bless.

Great day exploring Waiheke
Susan was a amazing guide. She took us to 3 delightful winerys and her favorite beautiful spots. The electricvan was greatand being smaller Susan took us to some great spots not assemble from the big vehicles. Was a great day.

Great choice
We ended up having a private tour with Mathieu since no one else booked. Fantastic! Mathieu was early getting to the ferry port and so were we, so we set off to town to get a coffee and short sightseeing. What an unexpected bonus. We toured 3 wineries including Postage stamp, Batch and Mudbrick. We had a table to ourselves and an attentive wine steward at each location. We were able to choose from a tasting list at each location, and everything was previously set up by Mathieu. All we did was walk in the door and pick our wines! So easy, fun and delicious! And when it started to rain towards the end of our tour, Mathieu brought us umbrellas to walk back to the van. Lunch was at Batch (self pay). We planned only 2 days in advance and our first 2 restaurant choices we provided when booking were full. Just adding that for those that want a specific lunch restaurant to plan a bit more ahead than we did. Between each winery, we stopped and took in the amazing views. Mathieu was a great driver, very knowledgeable about the area even though originally not a Kiwi. That was one thing we noticed throughout our NZ travels- it’s such a beautiful country, we met so many visiting on worker’s visas from the EU, etc. The tour van was clean and tidy. It was not brand new so there wasn’t any place to charge devices other than the driver’s seat. Bring fully charged electronics, although I’m sure I could have used the front chargers if needed. All in all, we had a great time and we are so glad we book this tour vs. trying the hop on, hop off bus- that would have been too much planning, no interesting tidbits from our guide, and it would have been tough on a day with intermittent rain. We’re also glad we weren’t in a crowd of people as we had the wine stewards all to ourselves- amazing!

Its so much better than the hop on hop off as you pointed out and we take you the special little hidden gems that you don't get with the big tour operators.
