Enjoy a tasting at historic Kumeu River Wines, owned and operated by the Brajkovich family!
Pioneers in winemaking since 1944, Mate's barrel fermented Chardonnay is considered one of the very best wines in the New Zealand and around the world. Next taste wine and enjoy an open menu one course lunch at Soljans Vineyard Cafe. Soljans was established in 1937 and is still family owned. Tyler, the 5th Generation of the family runs the operation with his grandfather. Taste their regional varietals and their delicious 10 year aged Port then enjoy an open menu one course lunch with tea or coffee in their popular cafe.
After lunch, sit back and take in the countryside with a side trip through the backcountry with beautiful traditional rolling sheep and cattle country. Visit the Muriwai black sand beach and gannet colony. See these majestic birds rearing their young and flying over the Tasman Sea. Finally in the afternoon visit picturesque "The Hunting Lodge Winery". Walk amongst their vines and sample a selection of 5 wines from their cellar door overlooking the vineyard before the return trip to Auckland.

Perfect way to spend a day
Enjoy tasting wine across the best wineries in Auckland. John is very knowledgeable and well known within all the wineries, you will be treated like VIP's at each stop and a fabulous lunch is included in the package. Perfect way to spend a special occasion or a day trip in Auckland.

Great day out.
Fantastic wine tour made extra special by the tour guide - John. John went out of his way to make sure everyone had a great day. The Ganbet bird watching at Muriwai Beach was amazing and a lovely way to complete the day. Highly recommend.
