Operates Every Thursday, Saturday and Sunday to July 9th, 2017 - Ideal for UK Rugby Visitors!

Get away from it all for a lazy day on Waiheke Island, just a 40-minute ferry ride from Downtown Auckland.

Waiheke offers not just premium wine, but an arsenal of top quality craft beer. Enjoy it all as your host tours you around some of the best spots, complete with a lunch at The Boathouse Restaurant right on the water at Onetangi Beach, arguably one of Auckland’s most beautiful beaches.

Around Waiheke brings you a fun, laidback tour, where all is asked of you is to kick back and have a great time while taking in the incredible vistas as you find your way around this beautiful island.

Your host will meet you at Matiatia ferry terminal after your cruise from Downtown Auckland.

First call is Kennedy Point Vineyard, the only certified organic vineyard on Waiheke. Here you will taste a selection of award winning wines.

Next it is off to Onetangi Beach to the Boathouse Restaurant.

Your menu choices are:

  • Chargrilled Eggplant - Chargrilled Eggplant, Tomato, Feta, Wild Rocket and House Chilli Jam

  • Thai Green Curry (Prawn or Chicken) - Served with locally made Naan bread
  • Creamy Seafood Chowder - Served with Local baked breads

Your driver will request your choice at the start of the tour.

Here you will enjoy the stunning sea view while you enjoy a tasty meal.

There will be time to enjoy the beach setting or even enjoy a stroll along the beach.

Then it will be off to another quality vineyard. (The particular vineyard will depend on availability.)

Actual venues may vary for operational considerations.

    Really enjoyable tour

Great tour despite the rain when setting off from Auckland. Informative, nice wine, good food, fantastic views. Bill (at the craft beer tasting) was interesting and informative. Well worth the trip and the "oyster shots" were a very weird but good addition despite not previously liking them. Would recommend this tour.

    Waiheke Beer and Wine Tour

Good Tour. Would recommend. Picked up at ferry terminal in little bus, driven around island to first tasting. Light meal provided there. All 3 tastings were informative and fun, and all different which I liked.
