Want to get out in the fresh air and explore the pristine coastline without breaking too much of a sweat? Then join us on our guided electric mountain bike tour which will showcase the absolute best views Akaroa has to offer.
Our brand new Ebikes take the sweat out of cycling with their pedal assist function so you can truly soak in the sights and sounds of the picturesque countryside. They are easy to ride and our route is mostly on quiet sealed roads for your enjoyment.
With views overlooking the Akaroa Harbour and Marine Reserve, unique volcanic landscapes, and an (optional) climb up to a lookout point - your Instagram account will be bursting with the most magnificent photos!
We cycle at a relaxed pace, in a small group, and can stop for coffee at a beautiful local winery so there is plenty of time for taking photos of this memorable ride.
The total distance is 21.6km (including climb to lookout), our guides are here to share local knowledge and to ensure your safety. This is sure to be an experience you will remember.
Lava Loop Trail:
If you are up for a bit of an adventure join us on our Lava Loop tour where you will earn the bragging rights of cycling up and around an extinct volcano! Enjoy unspoiled views over the pristine coastline, overlooking the Pacific Ocean and all the way over to the Southern Alps.
This energetic experience is a bit of a challenge made easier by our powerful pedal assist Ebikes, you can go so much further than you would on a conventional bike. Our route includes mixed terrain, steep slopes, sealed and gravel roads which are no problem to conquer with our experienced guides helping you along the way.
You are treated to fantastic views the entire way from postcard-perfect countryside, native forest to the stunning coastline your social media will be brimming with the memories made. There will be plenty of time to stop and take photos or catch a breath along the way, the multiple riding modes on our bikes will ensure everyone can keep up.
The total distance is 20km and our guides will be with you to ensure your safety and enjoyment. This tour is a must for adventure seekers.
