Michael McGinnis said... We loved the whole evening. From the first arrival and welcoming ceremony to the Marae it seemed like an authentic glimpse into the Maori customs and traditional ways of life.
From the costumes and the presentations of their brief history lesson (great to learn as a non-New Zealander) to the food and dinner-show, it was all interesting and I was glad to be able to take it in. All the performers and staff were super hospitable and eager to keep us engaged. The guests got to get up to spin the poi (women) and to do a beginner haka (men) which was really fun.
The food itself was all really delicious, I would recommend getting the ticket with the dinner included - there was no shortage of food, and it was so tasty as well. I left full and entertained. Definitely worth the cost of admission!
