We were picked up by Hammond in Christchurch and on our way. The weather at Edoras was moody, atmospheric and dark. The weather would have normally made me annoyed, but ended up added to the ambience and made it feel like we had stepped into another world, Middle Earth perhaps? The small group of 6 that went out didn't mind a little wind and rain. We were all so excited to just be there. The hike up was quite easy. Holding our replica weapons made the journey epic. I loved being around fans in this atmosphere. The views were stunning. The mist and shadow and mountain really made the trip for me. I would recommend this to any die hard LOTR fan.
