A good overall experience, but some things could do with improving. Once we arrived on South Sea Island, we were advised if we wanted to group snorkel we would have to leave now, but we'd miss out on most of the lunch. We decided to snrokle anyway, and only just caught the dreads of the lunch before they started to pack it away. When I asked for a second chicken nibble, she rolled her eyes at me. The island has a constant stream of guests entering and leaving. This ensures the island was packed to capacity. Finding loungers by the ocean edge was nearly impossible. I felt like livestock with our coloured wrist bands and rationed portions of food. It felt mass produced, impersonal and quantity of guests favoured over quality and creating an experience. The manager on the island worked very hard and welcomed everybody to the island, but individuals let it down. Dodgy transfers from the passenger ferry on to the smaller boat was not performed safely. The transfers themselves were okay, and I'm sure it meets Fijian regulations, but the vessel was slippery and I was told to hurry up whilst transferring. Everyone had stood up and held on to the hand rail provided, so I decided to wait longer for more people to transfer so their was hand rail space for myself, otherwise I would have slipped due to it being very choppy. I don't appreciate being rushed or pressured to move faster when all I was doing was prioritising safety. This needs to be looked into. If a child slipped between the two boats whilst transferring it will be catastrophic. Disaster waiting to happen.
