Stew in your own juices
Had a great soak at Wairekai hot spas, great staff and beautiful surroundings. Only complaint is the price, a little exe as you can only soak for an hour or so.

Wairakei thermal pools
Quality of pools are not maintained well. Water quality is below standard.

So nice we went twice!
We went to Wairakei Terraces on our most recent trip to Taupō and it was so lovely we went again the next night! And thanks to Bookme we could afford to. It was lovely and warm and great options with multiple pools, also nice to go to a pool and not have kids splashing and noisy.

Wairakei Thermal Hot Pools
What an amazing experience. We visited one evening and again the next morning. They are beautifully clean, and each pool has a different temperature. The ambience is surreal. Would highly recommend visiting.
