although the structure is man made the terraces themselves are of a natural origin walk was expertly described Full marks for that next time the pools
We often stop at these stunning hot mineral pools on our way through Taupo. It is a beautifully kept facility and the ultimate in relaxation in the middle of a long drive. Adults only mean it’s a quiet and very chilled atmosphere. Even when the carpark looks busy it never feels crowded. Lovely, thoughtful staff who always great warmly upon arrival. A highly recommended stop and visit, you won’t regret it.
Wow, what an experience! Highly recommend visiting these terraces, going on the walk and soaking in the incredible blue pools! Plenty of seating in the form of rocks around the sides of the pools. The walk took about an hour at leisure and lots of content capture pauses. So cool to walk around the terraces with a close view. Great ticket price and cost-effective activity. Super close (across the road) to Wairakei Resort Taupō too!

Was very well set up and quite informative
We are Australians, so we know very little of the Māori families, their beliefs and how they lived. The walk explained, in very simple language, how some groups lived and their beliefs and customs - not super scientific - just enough to give us a very basic understanding. Specially loved the brief explanations of some of the Māori living stories.
