Visited with my adult kids. You find yourself hit with amazing experiences almost immediately - the incredible rotating brain- teasing ice tunnel and then immediately come upon the penguins, which were such a delight! Other highlights were the walk-through tunnel and the tropical coral tank, which was absolutely stunning. We've visited Sea Life centres in the UK and Kelly Tarltons is not up to the same material standards but the penguins certainly made up for that!
Because I entered at 4:00 pm, I was treated like the last thing on their to-do list. Staff kept rushing me along, step by step. I felt like something that needed to be cleared out before closing, pushed through doors that were already being shut, until I was finally forced out of the aquarium. My tips, just like the title: do not enter after 3:30 pm.
Loved it. Cafe: pie not the best, coffee great, being able watch the tide rising right in front of your table amazing! Sea life displays fantastic! Watching the penguins swim fascinating! The museum part at the start was an unexpected bonus. Beautifully stocked gift shop. Highly recommend a visit!
