It was a lovely day meeting the alpacas. They are so cute and smart! The owner of the farm took us through every paddock showing and explaining us everything about these beautiful animals. It was really interesting. We had an amazing time. Thank you again!
Great tour with knowledgeable owner. Gorgeous animals to feed and learn about. Kids really enjoyed it
Absolutely worth it if you are staying in Manapouri or Te Anau! The owners and handlers were so kind and knowledgeable - the aplacas are fluffy and spunky, and you can tell they are really happy. Awesome local business - make sure to check out their shop as well, looking forward to ordering a scarf :)
It was raining all time during our cruise 3 March 2018. So it was journey to the world of 50 shades of grey and 1000 waterfalls! We have not seen anything like on the advertising photo, no dolphins nor seals... But lots of waterfalls! But I cannot complain, we know it is sort of gambling booking trips like that. Wish the crew would stop the engine or some point, so we could hear the sound nature (oops, sound of rain:) Boat was comfortable, and lunch was good.
It is so amazing. The sky is clear, no raining.
Great cruise. Incredible scenary and the tour guides excellent.
What an amazing trip this was the first is a beautiful boat ride across Lake Manopouri then an informative bus ride across Willmott pass and then 2.5 hours cruising on Doubtful sound. The Go Orange team where helpful friendly informative and professional. I would highly recommend this trip
Durchgehend freundliches Personal. Tony war mit Herz und Seele dabei und bereitet "the best hot chocolate" zu. Kevin war super freundlich. Von allen gute und interessante Erklärungen. Haben über bookme gebucht und alles hat super geklappt...
We had a fab day. Amazing scenery. Great tour. Awesome staff, thanks for making this a memorable trip.
We had a fantastic day. Our bus driver and boat captain were both very passionate about the Sound and provided lots of interesting commentary. We were lucky enough to see a pod of dolphins and to have calm waters out to the Tasman Sea.
Definitely the best value for money. I’ve been to Milford Sound but Doubtful Sound definitely left me more amazed and astounded. The service, the boat and the experience were amazing. We learned so much about the Fiordland and also had fun and relaxing time. From the Boat transfer, to the bus ride and to the actual cruise itself. You cant fault anything. Shoutout to Courtney and Tom - best guides! Thanks Real NZ! If your thinking to do it, just book it!
What an epic journey, doubtful sounds are stunning and must visit.
Go orange staffs are all friendly and helpful. Doubtful sound itself is amazing, I enjoy every minute during the day!
We were blessed with an amazing day! The hosts were lovely! Our driver, Dan, was hilarious! Really enjoyed our time. Would definitely recommend it!
Was staying in Possum Lodge motor camp in Manapouri so was a 5 min walk to jetty to catch boat then quick trip across the lake with great info while heading over When we arrived Across lake for bus ride over Wilmot Pass again great info and must admit funny bus driver Tony we boarded boat for Doubtful Sound tour Amazing views with the boys knowing great knowledge about the area both before and after Highly recommended this cruise with the great people at GO ORANGE
Seamlessly organised and a nice smallish group. We even spotted a kea up in the heights!
Very well organised. Good boat ride over Lake Manapouri with interesting guide pointing out POI. Then onto the bus to take us over the Wilmot Pass with very interesting guide. Then onto doubtful Sound cruise. Great real coffee machine making cappochinos etc. Small group so plenty of room in the seated area with great views if you wanted to stay inside. Good outside views windy at times. Went all along the Sound out to the Tasman Sea and back. Saw some wild life around some of the islands. The whole trip went very smoothly and the guides very very good.
Very smooth operation requiring boat across beautiful Manapouri lake then a bus drive to the Fjord then another boat trip and then all again in reverse. Lovely crew comfortable boat amazing views. Only disappointment which is outside of operators control is that we didn’t see as much wildlife as expected.
Had a good time on this cruise and got to see lots of stunning scenery. The staff were all really friendly. Can't compare to Milford but probably equal...
If friends and family visit me in New Zealand this tour is the one "must do" experience I recommend to them. This was my third time on a doubtful sound cruise and every time was different and special. The two night cruise was my favorite so far. We where incredibly lucky with the weather and got to experience all the different faces Fiordland has to offer. Special thanks to the Fiordland Navigator crew! These people make the experience truly magical. Courtney was our nature guide and she was super knowledgable. I truly enjoyed her presentations in the evening and would highly recommend them to any future passenger. I also need everyone to know how good the food was! The three course menu in the evening is one of the many highlights of the tour. I also loved how RealNZ teamed up with Ashley&Co to provide luxurious soaps, body washes and hand sanitizer all over the boat. Made the hot shower after the kayaking and the dip in the icy fjord waters extra special and relaxing. I will be back for sure!!
Best tour I did in the South Island. Crossing Lake Manapouri was magical - and Doubtful Sound is so peaceful and beautiful
Staff friendly and helpful, organisation good, price pretty good. No guarantee of sunshine (probably the opposite) or of wildlife but you are guaranteed wonderful scenery. Boats warm on the inside and plenty of viewing areas out front and on the upper deck (hold on to your hats). Plenty of complimentary hot drinks. A couple of loos for your comfort. Interesting commentary but not intrusive, just informative. If you have a sunny day I expect the place sparkles, if it rains then you'll see the waterfalls in all their glory. Enjoy!
So many words to describe this day, (day 1) suns out clear skies, flat waters, beautiful surroundings of atmosphere. stopped on this island for lunch and had a coffee. the scenery really makes you appreciate nature so much more. tents up and attacked by sand-flies I gave up on the pegs for the cover. I had such a beautiful sleep. Day 2, weather over turned and it hammered down with rain. but going back to base it didn't bother me. the mountains were so much greener, the skies were so grey even had thunder and lightening it was breath taking. the rain just poured down like never before. the waterfalls surrounding the mountains. I really enjoyed my time here. one ill never forget. waves over waves crashing into the kayaks. Takes you to another world and you feel so alive by pure nature and tranquillity. truly thankful for every second of this two day adventure.
An amazing trip. Friendly staff. Doubtful Sound is simply breathtaking. Would highly recommend this trip. Highlight of our stay in New Zealand.
Had a wonderful time on the Kayak Overnighter in the Doubtful Sound. Very good equipment and organisation, great introduction, interesting knowledge about the fjord and much more and a beautiful scenery for two days. Thanks to Ollie (our guide) who did an awesome job!
Did the first sailing of the day .. well orgsnised by Realme .. very informative with grest commentary ... great views and photo opportunities. We will be back to appreciate in Winter. A great way to spend 7 hours. A true gem of NZ.
