Loved every minute. They said they would try and find the dolphins they didn't disappoint . So many so close awesome trip

Awesome trip out where we got to see two whales, hundreds of dolphins as well as the very rare Southern Right Whale dolphin ?? Great commentary throughout ?

This was one of the best things I've done in New Zealand by far. Our guide, Tracey, was brilliant: very knowledgeable and friendly. We were very lucky and managed to see a pod of around 300 dolphins! I didn't swim but even so I couldnt stop grinning for the whole tour. It was so amazing to see the dolphins in their natural environment and the way they interacted with each other and with the boat was wonderful. We had a good amount of time on the water and even on the journey to and from the dolphins we were able to see lots of other marine life including albatross and seals. A great experience!

Enjoyed the cruise on a really sunny day. The crew gave everybody warning of potential seasickness so you had the option to change days. Having recently been on an orca tour in the Southern Ocean in Australia we were well prepared, but they do have seasickness meds available to buy too. On the way out we saw a large pod of dolphins and was a little disappointed we didn’t stop for them. Our main focus was on two sperm whales and we had some amazing sightings of them and a lot of information provided by the crew. Was absolutely fantastic to see them dive and flick their tail up. Would recommend this tour, but keep in mind that nobody can predict how much wildlife you might see. If you do see some, it’s very special.

We were so impressed with the service and quality of experience we had with 'wings over whales' Edward our pilot was awesome. We saw sperm whales which was great but the flight itself showed the stunning coast of kaikoura. I can't find any fault of this trip

I highly recommend this awesome experience! The weather was perfect to get a great view of the coast and the clear sea. We saw three perm whales and had a wonderful time. The pilots were really nice and funny, too. All in all it was worth it and a must do in Kaikoura!

It was a magical moment, we could see dolphins and especially a whale, it was sublime .. we spent a long time watching it, we even saw the moment when it returned to the water. The pilot was great and I had a very good welcome. I recommend this company.

Amazing experience it was a perfect day and I'm so glad I've finally done it. Other than getting alittle woozy from the plane turning which I didn't expect the pilot straightened the plane out and I came right. It's not very long and it was totally worth it. Five stars must try.

Fantastic flight. We saw a HUGE pod of pilot whales, dolphins and a blue whale. There was heaps of activity. Our guide/pilot was fab! Our flight was delayed initially but I loved that they were upfront and honest about trying to get the view of the whales from above and this is why we were pushed back. Thank you!

Wings over whales was great, the reviews don't lie! I would highly recommend them. We saw a couple of sperm whales and about 300 dolphins. The views of Kaikoura were nice too. The flight was very smooth. A must-do!

Totally recommend this trip! The staff were super friendly, very helpful, and full of knowledge on the area and the wildlife. Then we got to the swimming ..... What a cool experience, so many dolphins and so close. Such beautiful playful animals. I could have stayed in the water with them all day. On the trip back to South Bay we came across more dolphins swimming alongside a small whale. WOW .... what a sight. The boat became very quiet as everyone was in awe. Amazing trip I would definitely do again - seeing these beautiful animals in their natural habitat is nothing short of AMAZING !!!!

Awesome fly with Air Kaikoura！ The weather is fantastic, and the water is really clear. We saw 4 humpback whales with our lovely pilot and heaps of happy dusky dolphins. They look really happy swimming there. What a great day!

This day was probably the most exciting and memorable day in my life. I’ve invited some German friends to a flight over whales as is was a wish from them while visiting NZ. Wishes still come through and we had tears in our eyes while doing some loops over the whales in Kaikoura. Spectacular landscapes, unforgettable ocean views, dolphins and 100% pure New Zealand adventure. Very experienced pilot was the icing on the cake and made our day even more amazing . We will be back with more friends in the future. Wicked trip ;)

Amazing experience saw 2 whales it was a great day views were lovely professional staff.

First I was thinking if going or not because we did also te boat cruise couple of days ago, but after all I jave to say it was absolutely amazing experince and I’m glad I did it! You can see whales from other perspective and finally you can enjoy how they are big!! Also you can enjoy view over Kaikoura Penninsula and mountains! And last but not least all the Air Kaikoura staffs were really nice :) thank you once again 🤍

Right from checking in, till we leave the premise after the flight, the experience was splendid and well managed by the boys at the Air Kaikoura office. Our pilot was a young 20 something boy who did fantastic job(s) of piloting the glider, spotting whales/ dolphins/ seals etc as well as communicating with the other flights around. Felt 1000% secure as well as satified, since the flight also included some scenic path around the Kaikoura bay area. Had a generous time viewing the whales berthing on surface for catcihing some air, then loads of dolphins, seals etc.

Awesome tour well worth the money

The staff was super nice and the flight was very exciting. Such a unique experience and beautiful views of Kaikoura. I couldn't get to the airport by myself and they were kind enough to pick me up and drop me off. I highly recommend!

Our pilot was very diligent in finding whales. We were lucky enough to see a blue whale and a sperm whale plus a very large pod of dolphin. Enjoyed the experience as I wanted to see whales but just not on a boat. Would however say that it is tight in the plane and gets very hot. But I did enjoy the flight regardless. Give it a go you won’t be disappointed, I got the feeling that the pilots do their ver6 best to give you a great experience. Thank you guys.

Always an experience, flying in such a small aircraft! We saw 2 Spermwhales and a big group of Dolphins. The team is extremely professional and well organized, huge recommendation from me.

Fantastic experience, we’ve seen a male sperm whale playing alone, swimming, blowing water, then it dived down to deep water. Unforgettable memories and must do in Kaikoura!

I recommend taking the flight with these guys. We saw a family of blue whales with a baby as well as sperm whales. Fantastic trip and worth every single cent.

Due to weather conditions our take off time was pushed to the right by 2 hrs. When the weather turned we were off the ground in less then 10 min. Within 15 min we were circling a Sperm Whale 8 miles out from the coast. To see a whale from the air is totally different then only seeing the hump pushing out from the water from a boat. I wish we were there during the high season for whales as seeing a Blue Whale from that height would have been awesome. Overall great experience!!! Definitely recommend!

I strongly recommend this activity in Kaikoura. Staff were friendly and the flight was amended the time to suit for watching a whale. We watched the dolphins as well. It was just right time for watching including scenery of Kaikoura peninsula.

Amazing day to fly and the crew was super down to earth !!
