Wonderfully relaxing. Lots of families around in the afternoon so I stuck to the adult only pool. Amazing hot temperatures and a water fountain nearby to stay hydrated. I love that parts of the pool had shade too, it was a warm day. The views were phenomenal! Staff were lovely and you’ll need $3 for a locker, which you have for three hours.
It was a nice getaway from the kids just me and my hubby for 2 nights the next morning at the hotel it was after 12 I saw a cleaner I asked for conditioner she asked if I wanted room service I said "no" as I was coming back to my room to rest it should of already been done (as a hotel cleaner service is important) For the $170 a night I expect service a made bed and clean towels The room is more like staying at a hostel we had a kettle but no kitchen sink only bathroom sink and didn't even have any cooking equipment As a hotel worker we laways make sure the room is warm before the customer has arrived. I paid for my room 2 weeks before and my room was freezing took ages to warm up Hot water is touchy really really hot can't get perfect would of been harder if I had my kids but just me and hubby we dealt with it The toilet had a nice pube on it from the people before Didn't like only there being 1 beside table I had to use a chair for my table And all the wiring coming out of the bedside table ( the only table if ya don't call the kettle, cups and hot drinks sachets which isn't a table it's a cupboard) but you could of screwed the table to the wall so the table couldn't move and expose all the wiring It's a nice place but won't stay again Not worth the price wish I searched around instead of going for the first available one But the shampoo and conditioner smells amazing
In Silver River Stargazing, Megan is our host, she shares with us all she knows about galaxy, and she gets the sense of humor, also an amazing story teller. All people live near with Lake Tekapo are galaxy protecter, you should come to feel and witness, what they protect and what there work hard for.
Amazing experience, incredible views and awesome knowledge from the guide. My advice would be to wrap up warm, and wear warm shoes...or you're feet will get numb. Tekapo is amazing, and this evening was just the icing on the cake A+
Very good experience! Few reasons: -polite and warm welcoming, nice staff -they proposed me to go on an earliest tour where so seat were still available, without charging the price difference -a view of a lot of constellations, nebula and stars (shown on the sky or in the telescope where you can see so much details) for a very affordable price -help to take moon photos through the telescope and they take a photo of you with an amazing sky behind for the souvenir
? wonderful day
Since there was no one else that booked for this tour, it became a private and personal tour! Mary's a really great tour guide. She's been around for 3 years and I can see she really loves her job! I learned about a lot of things from her from this tour, which is certainly more than just a feed-animal-farm-tour! It was an experience seeing a pine cone as big as a durian and a pineapple, and also the antlers of a 7 yr old deer, drank 99.8% pure water from the refreshing river and ate some pure honey still with the wax in it! Just ask any questions and Mary would know the answer! My favourite was getting to meet Buster (and Chief the bully haha)! They're retired horses and Buster's such a lovely horse.
The Guide is quite good at introducing funny things about farm. The whole tour is interesting. we know about Fred's family history and the farm business and cute sheeps cows houses. I really enjoy it.
Lovely place to visit - however entry for 2 children to enjoy the inflatable slide and pools was $60. A lil on the steep side. However, facilities clean and tidy and a lovely spot to relax
Lovely clean pools ,we were lucky with the weather and the lack of crowds .
Beautiful scenery, lovely facility, spent a perfect day here with our family.
Relax yourself in three different temperature hot pools. The view is awesome!
It was nice and relaxing but downfall The changing rooms are so tiny pretty much touching elbows there were people getting changed in the doorway to the ice skating cos there was no room not sure if people left there bags in there as there was a few bags without owners but there was no room for the amount of people there, after I got undressed I just put my jeans hoodie and shoes on *no undies, t-shirt it was cold* only so that someone else could try and get dressed there was no keep 2m apart if one had covid we all would have it no matter how fast ya were you or where ya got dressed in that room you were touching someone and waiting to use the toilet because people are getting dressed in them if the car park wasn't so far down the hill and ot wasn't freezing weather I'd suggest wrapping ya towel around ya and run all I can say keep ya elbows in only put on the main things your heading to the place ya staying at so you don't put everything on be In and out of the changing rooms And just relax in the pools
Nice place to get yourselves warm especially in this cold weather. Place is clean and not crowded
Good hosts, perfect sky, nice location, warm pool and interesting stories/facts. Would recommend everybody to do this. Off course some luck is needed with the weather!
Great experience for our 4.5 year old daughter. Helpful staff and great being right next to the pools
It’s really amazing night while having a hot bath under the stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️. Really worth it!
The team was experienced and enthusiastic. The hot pool stargazing was amazing and something I highly recommend to people travelling to Lake Tekapo
Great day had by myself and my family. My elderly mother is in a wheelchair and the staff were so helpful throughout the day. The staff helped me get mum into the water chair and then helped me get her in the pool. The weather was extremely cold but the view was great. The pizza and chips deal was a great finish to the day, sitting in the cafe with the fire going.
Awesome spot for afternoon chill!
Loved it, wish we had stayed longer. Lovely facilities, awesome staff. Well be back for sure
Really nice place to spend the day, I wish to come back soon
Paid extra for a sauna, was awesome!!! Such a nice experience and everyone was super friendly......great place to be!
Tekapo springs is a must do while there aren't crowds- one day it will be like Hanmer, so make the most of the beautiful surrounds and quieter pools while you can, my kids had an absolutely brilliant time, and with the extra options available it could quite easily be a weeks worth of activities just within Tekapo. So set aside at least one nights stay for 2 days of relaxing and restoration of your body and mind. Just do it!
Very relaxing hot pools , had about 5 different pools all with different heats very nice views , changing rooms were clean even at the end of the day. Grabbed a great bargain with this deal :)
We live locally and visit once a month perfect as always
First time for us to visit Tekapo Springs. We love the view, the pools are great, everyone was friendly abd helpful, too. Will definitely recommend to friends.
Nice views
I think it's not a real spring(just hot water). There are 3 kinds of hot pool and the third is warmer. Although the temperature is not high, but the hot pools can help you to release some pressure.
its clean and a good pool for children as well. child friendly place. great place for the whole family to enjoy
Been here several times, can't get over this beautiful spot. Each being a different scenery, clear blue skies to snowy mountains. Don't just drive by stay a night or two!
Awesome place to go on a cold day. Great mountain views add to the experience especially when it's snowing.
Absolutely amazing place to stop and relax. My 7 year old loved it and the pools had the most amazing views. Would recommended it to all. Very family friendly. Next time we are down south will definitely visit again.
There were six in our group. Four adults, 8 y.o and 2 y.o. Mr 8 bought a combo and had an amazing time going between the waterslide, bouncy playground and the pools. The majority of the adults just soaked in the pools (except Mr 8’s Mum) who had to follow him. Was awesome, lovely friendly attendants, clean facilities, clear signage. I wore aqua shoes which was apparently a good choice because those in bare feet struggled with the heat and in some places (watching the waterslide) quite rough terrain.
