Best garden!
Such a stunning place. The owner greeted us and gave us a tour and we were wowed by the creativity. Definitely recommend you visit for an amazing experience!
Definitely made my trip to NZ worth while. I’ve never experienced a garden like it, thousands of flowers & amazing wildlife amongst man made creations. And the house tour was definitely worth it. Great customer service. Tried to add more photos we took of flowers but could only add 2 pics
We thought we were just going to look at a garden. BUT NO...this was a total mind blowing experience. We were greeted Christine and showed thru their totally unique lodge her husband has worked his artistic woodsmanship talent totally thru out the home. From the fish tank used as the water tank in the toilet to all the crafted wood. The breath-taking view from the kitchen window of the lake.We were shown the 2 Air B&B suites. Then outside to the garden. There was so much to see,it was hard to know which way to look. The gardens just amazing with sculptures doing yoga poses and placed throughout the garden giving the eye something to focus on. The ducks and birds and peacocks calling gave the atmosphere. There was a tree top curved staircase to climb which was amazing to view the property and views over lake Wakitipu. Finally we had the experience of feeding the birds, ducks and peacocks. The peacocks came so close to us and it felt almost intimate watching them put on a show with their feathers all out and their tails wiggling. You could feel the breeze as they turned around. This review I'm doing isn't doing Paradise Dream Garden any justice. It's an unforgettable experience and I totally recommend it to everyone.
This is truly a little paradise! The views are breathtaking... everywhere you look there are flowers, lush gardens and sculptures (made by the owner), with the mountains as a backdrop. It is peaceful and relaxing... and an inspirational place especially for artists. I also got a tour of the house, which is just amazing - with beautiful furniture and decorations made by the owner out of recycled wood. I am so glad I decided to visit!
Filled with artistic flair this unique lakeside Garden is so unexpected in this alpine environment. Truly, you will see surprising works of art created from organic materials and ingenious adaptions for normal household utilities like the bath.
I went with my partner and we loved it. Absolutely beautiful. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Queenstown who likes gardens. Very Insta-worthy.
It’s a very beautiful garden, must see in Queenstown.
Riding through the valley and up to Moke Lake was a magical experience! There were spectacular views in every direction! Our guide Kim was lovely and knowledgeable, and our horses Munster and Tigger were great companions for novice riders like me and my husband. We highly recommend this trek!
A beautiful horse trekking experience! Easy ride through rivers and farmland. Beautiful scenery and adorable horses. Very friendly and nice staff.
Amazing experience. Super friendly and chilled horses and guide. Really enjoyed every bit of it. Thank you. ❤️
Great guide, awesome horses and unbelievable view. Totally enjoyed my experience and would highly recommend.
This was the perfect trip to enjoy being on horseback whilst enjoying the incredible scenery of Lake Moke which is an absolute hidden gem. Our two guides were wonderful throughout Highly recommended
what a stunning backdrop for such a great experience. Staff were so friendly and informative. Had a great ride and would happily recommend this trek
Love the entire experience and she's very knowledgeable and safe to be around with. After the trek, we stayed to watch the after care for the horses. We had a great time!
I rode with JD the horse and our tour guides marta n ezra were fantastic...never ride a horse before let alone a big horse like JD..it was an interesting experience and another ticked activities of me bucket list..? Hope to see JD really soon..
My husband and I booked this at 9am in the morning, and I guess that it made the journey much better The sun wasn’t too strong, but we could still soak it up The lake was so calm and still that we could enjoy the view of mountains reflected on it The beautiful lady, Layna, who helped us to trek was very helpful and super nice even though my husband is not fluent in English The horses that took us were very gentle as well Everything was just awesome and beautiful, couldn’t be better :) I dare say it was the best moment in my life Thanks
Ben and Kat are fantastic. They seem passionate about their jobs and love Queenstown. All the gear was excellent. Safety briefing excellent and we were also provided with a two way radio. We paddled around Lake Moke. Awesome scenery with a little bit of wildlife around to keep it interesting. We had a fantastic time and we are very happy to highly recommend hiring Paddles and kayaking around lake Moke.
Would highly recommend horse trek at Moke Lake. Right from when we were picked up in Queenstown it was all very smooth sailing. All staff friendly and helpful. The horses well groomed and a joy to ride. The yard was clean and tidy too. A thoroughly enjoyable experience. The countryside was picturesque and flat terrain was suitable as I hadn’t ridden a horse for many years.
Very much worth your money
Was so much fun, beautiful views, staff were friendly and awesome, horses were well trained and looked after. Highly recommend!
My 10 year old daughter, sister in law and I went on the 1.5 hr trek. Got picked up with the free shuttle from Queenstown and drove across to Moke lake which is where the horses are. Our guide was Missy and our horses were Boom, Reno and Tigger. I was super nervous but Missy was calm and confident which made me relax. The horses were calm and just followed each other. The trek was mainly flat with a few little hills that the horses would go faster up. We went through water crossings, past cows and sheep surrounded by the beautiful mountains. Felt safe, the saddles were comfortable and Missy was full of information about the area. Our trek was a loop that finished at Moke lake which was beautiful. Beautiful hot sunny day. Great ride for beginners. My daughter loved it. Would 100% recommend this trek and we'd do it again in a heartbeat. Missy you are such a natural and a great guide. We had great fun.
A group of 3 of us booked onto this horse trek and ended up having a private trek since we arrived a little early. Missy was an amazing guide, chatting through the whole trek and making us feel comfortable and relaxed. She knew the horses so well which definitely put me at ease after having a little fall in previous riding. Our ride was at 9am and since it had been raining the night before the valley was looking soooo beautiful, low clouds and some sun poking through and a very still lake. I got to ride Dude who was just the sweetest boy. All the horses were very relaxed and chilled out, they knew exactly what to do and where to go. A true testament to the team looking after and training these rescued retired race horses. Thanks so much, I’ll definitely be back again!
Absolutely loved this. No need to worry if you haven't ridden before as the horses are great and the staff explain everything. Rachel our tour guide was fab. It was an awesome experience. The scenery is breath taking, just beautiful
Definetly worth the experience! Scenery of the lake was amazing. But if you are used to farming environemt the farmland scenery is a bit underwhelming at times. Lovely people to ride with. Being at the back you sort of feel segregated maybe would have been nice to have a guide at the back.
Everything's great! 1.5hrs Moke Lake Trek is suitable for beginners horse riding. Will back to try for longer riding next time!
It was well worth it. Very calm horses and beautiful scenery. And the guide was fantastic.
Fantastic experience. Breath taking views everywhere you look. Great trek for beginners. Missy was our guide and made sure we were all well looked after. We rode Boom, Reno and Tigger and they were great. Recommend it and look forward to doing again.
Beautiful horses and fantastic staff! Very welcoming and friendly.
Great guide.. Laura, great horse...Jo joe. Thoroughly enjoyable. Thank you to everyone. Rosemary Lindop UK
I took my partner along and it was great for him, it was a lovely hack with great scenery. If I were to go alone I would love to go on the 2 hour ride for experienced riders. The horses were well behaved and our guide was friendly. Captain was great to ride and Reno looked after my partner well. Thankyou :-)
Was a lovely chilled out and relaxed place and the staff were lovely and very informative and chatty. Horses were well looked after and very well behaved. You can tell the guides really know each individual horse. Beautiful surroundings and a fun ride trough water and little hills, was a all round fabulous experience, thanks guys!
Our first time to ride a horse. I was a little anxious at first but when ted(the horse) started to walk i felt safe.. he was a professional and i love him. He gave me the most comfortable and relaxed ride of my life. Our guides marta and millie were amazing. They were the best. Moke lake was stunning. Overall experience was amazing.
