Walk high amongst the majestic redwoods trees. Feel the spirit of Rotorua’s iconic Redwood Forest from above and up close to these 120-year-old gentle giants.
This suspended ecological walk provides a unique bird’s eye perspective of the forest, capturing its picturesque beauty and ambience. From 700 metres long, the one of a kind New Zealand treewalk consists of a series of 27 suspension bridges which traverse between 28 majestic 120-year-old Redwood Trees. From 9 metres to 20 metres above the forest at its peak, the walkway has been specifically designed and constructed to preserve the trees, plants and the surrounding natural environment.
The walkway has been uniquely constructed using a New Zealand-first technologically designed sling, which is suspended from the redwood trees. This ecological walk is perfect as a wet weather activity with the stunning colours of the forest coming to life in the rain.
Enjoy at your own pace with no safety harness or training required and appreciate the peacefulness and spirit of this special forest. Leave feeling inspired, refreshed and rejuvenated!..

What a great experience! We had the whole walk to ourselves and thoroughly enjoyed being in the the gorgeous forest with only the birds making noise! A great experience for all the family :)

Great Experience
Really enjoyed our Redwoods Treewalk experience. Had two kids with us as well as 2 seniors so were well paced going around the bridges and platforms. Definitely keen to do the nighttime walk as well as the more advanced one when the kids get older. Great work on creating and upkeeping such a cool activity.

Must-do activity in Rotorua!
Lovely walk among the trees, the sculptures give it a poetic charm. In mid-afternoon on a weekday I had the whole place to myself!
