Loved every minute. They said they would try and find the dolphins they didn't disappoint . So many so close awesome trip

Awesome trip out where we got to see two whales, hundreds of dolphins as well as the very rare Southern Right Whale dolphin ?? Great commentary throughout ?

This was one of the best things I've done in New Zealand by far. Our guide, Tracey, was brilliant: very knowledgeable and friendly. We were very lucky and managed to see a pod of around 300 dolphins! I didn't swim but even so I couldnt stop grinning for the whole tour. It was so amazing to see the dolphins in their natural environment and the way they interacted with each other and with the boat was wonderful. We had a good amount of time on the water and even on the journey to and from the dolphins we were able to see lots of other marine life including albatross and seals. A great experience!

Enjoyed the cruise on a really sunny day. The crew gave everybody warning of potential seasickness so you had the option to change days. Having recently been on an orca tour in the Southern Ocean in Australia we were well prepared, but they do have seasickness meds available to buy too. On the way out we saw a large pod of dolphins and was a little disappointed we didn’t stop for them. Our main focus was on two sperm whales and we had some amazing sightings of them and a lot of information provided by the crew. Was absolutely fantastic to see them dive and flick their tail up. Would recommend this tour, but keep in mind that nobody can predict how much wildlife you might see. If you do see some, it’s very special.

We were so impressed with the service and quality of experience we had with 'wings over whales' Edward our pilot was awesome. We saw sperm whales which was great but the flight itself showed the stunning coast of kaikoura. I can't find any fault of this trip

I highly recommend this awesome experience! The weather was perfect to get a great view of the coast and the clear sea. We saw three perm whales and had a wonderful time. The pilots were really nice and funny, too. All in all it was worth it and a must do in Kaikoura!

It was a magical moment, we could see dolphins and especially a whale, it was sublime .. we spent a long time watching it, we even saw the moment when it returned to the water. The pilot was great and I had a very good welcome. I recommend this company.

Amazing experience it was a perfect day and I'm so glad I've finally done it. Other than getting alittle woozy from the plane turning which I didn't expect the pilot straightened the plane out and I came right. It's not very long and it was totally worth it. Five stars must try.

Really put in effort to make sure we had best chance of seeing a whale.

Fantastic flight. We saw a HUGE pod of pilot whales, dolphins and a blue whale. There was heaps of activity. Our guide/pilot was fab! Our flight was delayed initially but I loved that they were upfront and honest about trying to get the view of the whales from above and this is why we were pushed back. Thank you!

Totally recommend this trip! The staff were super friendly, very helpful, and full of knowledge on the area and the wildlife. Then we got to the swimming ..... What a cool experience, so many dolphins and so close. Such beautiful playful animals. I could have stayed in the water with them all day. On the trip back to South Bay we came across more dolphins swimming alongside a small whale. WOW .... what a sight. The boat became very quiet as everyone was in awe. Amazing trip I would definitely do again - seeing these beautiful animals in their natural habitat is nothing short of AMAZING !!!!

Amazing day to fly and the crew was super down to earth !!

Such an stunning experience! We were only in Kaikoura for a day, this flight was perfect! On the day of our flight we were very lucky that it was such a clear day. The lady in the office was very friendly and informative, and the pilot was very effective at using time wisely while in the air, we saw a large pod of dolphins and a whale ? This flight was great value for money, we recommend!

Everyone at Air Kaikoura aero club was very friendly and welcoming, Jack our pilot was very knowledgeable and we actually saw 1 sperm whale, that stayed on the surface for ages so we got lots of photos, then we also saw 2 hump back whales as well, we missed the orcas, but it was still an amazing flight. I would happily recommend this company.

This day was probably the most exciting and memorable day in my life. I’ve invited some German friends to a flight over whales as is was a wish from them while visiting NZ. Wishes still come through and we had tears in our eyes while doing some loops over the whales in Kaikoura. Spectacular landscapes, unforgettable ocean views, dolphins and 100% pure New Zealand adventure. Very experienced pilot was the icing on the cake and made our day even more amazing . We will be back with more friends in the future. Wicked trip ;)

The experience was great! We able to see a Sperm Whale , yey! We took as a while to spot the whale but enjoyed the cruise up and above seeing beautiful landscape and sea in Kaikoura . Thank you for our pilot and staff! ☺️

It was a shame that the wale are not out in our trip but the polite is really nice and show around the ocean and guide us around. At least we see some little dolphins. Besides, the polite told me that we can go for a free flight next time. He recommended come in winter next time when will got more wales appears.

Our pilot was very diligent in finding whales. We were lucky enough to see a blue whale and a sperm whale plus a very large pod of dolphin. Enjoyed the experience as I wanted to see whales but just not on a boat. Would however say that it is tight in the plane and gets very hot. But I did enjoy the flight regardless. Give it a go you won’t be disappointed, I got the feeling that the pilots do their ver6 best to give you a great experience. Thank you guys.

I strongly recommend this activity in Kaikoura. Staff were friendly and the flight was amended the time to suit for watching a whale. We watched the dolphins as well. It was just right time for watching including scenery of Kaikoura peninsula.

These guys really know their stuff, and give a very friendly personal service, and great value. At first, we thought we were going to be unlucky, but the pilot perservered, and eventually a big Sperm Whale surfaced from his feeding dive. We were richly rewarded with a real birds eye view of the leviathan – fantastic! He stayed on the surface for a good 10 minutes, before raising his massive tail fluke, and heading down the 1500 odd meters for his next feed of squid. So that was it, or so we thought. As we headed for home the pilot diverted over to another bay, where a pod of 200 to 300 Dusky Dolphins were cavorting about – another fantastic sight.

We just loved it, so experienced pilot, and his knowledge was great. We really enjoyed a lot. Air kaikoura, thanks for the unforgettable experiance.

The staff was super nice and the flight was very exciting. Such a unique experience and beautiful views of Kaikoura. I couldn't get to the airport by myself and they were kind enough to pick me up and drop me off. I highly recommend!

Great company to go whale spotting with. They timed the flight perfectly and knew exactly where the whales would be. Incredible experience.
