Brilliant for a little adrenaline and the staff are really nice
Amazing fun, gets the heart racing. Highly reccomend this.
Greta time. Thanks heaps. Loved the course options.
Beautiful course. Picturesque and unique. Choice of 2 rounds. Took the Captainโs Challenge. Next time we will try the other one! Holes mostly par 2. Very doable. Had a bit of a wait getting served. Had to call a mobile number. A bit difficult if one didnโt have a mobile. All in all a fun morning. Will be back.
We had a great day here.. being able to go around as menu times as u like is the bonus..!
Quite easy to get there. We preferred not to use SkyBus because it's too expensive ($18 per person) if you go from CBD by bus. We took a bus to Onehunga Train Station ($3.10 per person) and from there the bus No.380 ($1.80). All the trip took one and a half hour. In short: we spent a very nice time. Butterfly Creek isn't a big park but this is more than enough to spend a few wonderful hours in there. Butterfly Creek staff were very friendly. Food in Butterfly Creek Cafe was, surprisingly, in a great many varieties and the prices were reasonable. We would definitely recommend Butterfly Creek to visit, especially, with kids.
Loved our outing to Butterfly Creek. Watching the eel, otter and crocodile feeds was really interesting. My daughter loved the mermaid display and play area. The little shop has so many wonderful items for sale, but are a bit pricey. Overall, it was a fantastic day out.
Fun for all ages reminds me of Rainbow Springs....So many things for our tamariki
Our first visit. My three year old had a wonderful day. We rode the train, walked around. I think her favourite part was Buttermilk Farm and meeting Lil. Followed closely by the aquariums and crocodiles.
Our 5 year old granddaughter had a ball. She loved the butterflies
We enjoyed our visit and had a great experience to the many exhibitions they have. Butterfly were rarely seen sadly but we love the kiwi house and the entrance through the aquarium.
We really enjoyed Butterfly Creek, had not been there in years and the changes they have made are great. Lots to do for the whole family, really enjoyed the new mythical creatures display. Plenty of room for little ones to run around safely. And of course the butterflies are always great.
Is a very nice park to go. Kids have lot of fun. And cafe with many choices of food too. Will recommend to family and friends
I went with my Family. 3 adults, a 4yo and a baby (8m). We have been to Butterfly Creek quite a few times and this time we were disappointed with a few things (likely changes due to Covid): -the cafe a la carte menu is significantly reduced, with only very basic options -the farm indoor section is closed off, so no petting of the little animals. However, this was made up with the friendly staff at the ticket counter and the guy in the farm area bringing around the goat to pet (and feed). Also being Friday meant there was hardly anyone there, so free to roam around without waiting for anything (a bonus in these Covid times). Will probably go again once the porcupine and meerkats are there.
It was very enjoyable for my daughters 6th birthday , managed to finish our trip just before the rain started. I just wish there were some food bags left as we went to go get some and the people before us purchased 6 bags and left none for the rest of us waiting with our kids. Should maybe be a limit one per person/feeder.
Such a cool place to visit. Great for ammateur wildlife photographers like me. Friendly knowledgeable staff ensured enjoyable encounters with the wildlife and tame life (farmyard animals). Loved the butterflies, saltwater croc feeding, fish, fossils... Impressive animated dinosaurs are lots of fun for kids of all ages. The only negative is that the food was overly expensive. I am on a tight budget so it was great to get a half price deal through bookme. If you do this you might be able to afford something to eat lol. I couldn't make it on the day I booked due to a bereavement but was able to change my booking to another day without any problem.
Our girls aged almost 4 and 7 loved it. We last visited about 5 years ago and the place has added alot of stuff! If your child loves dinosaurs or animals it's the perfect place. They have farm animals, otters, alligators, mythic creatures area, lots of dinosaurs that make noise and move their heads, fish, reptiles and butterflies of course. Also a Cafe for guests with yummy food albeit a bit pricey and a great playground. Very good day for the family. We booked via bookme.co.nz and saved some money too. We would definitely go again. Highly recommend.
Both families had fun at butterfly creek kids spent lots of time playing inside the dinosaur egg.
Fantastic place - my 3 year old had the best 2 hours! Place is well maintained and many things to look at. Train is a must do and adds to the experience too
Absolutely LOVED our experience. Although it was rainging, we still had soooo much fun. I didnโt realise how amaaazing butterfly creek really is. Definitely recommend it, perfect for all ages.
Really enjoyed our day yesterday โบ๏ธ
We took our 2 year old granddaughter yesterday and had an awesome experience. 4 hours later we left for home. From the butterfly's to the fish, dinosaurs, farm animals and the train ride the smiles and laughter were continuous. The train ride was fantastic and my video showed continuous smiles all the way round. Thank you Butterfly Creek for an amazing experience.
Wow. So much has changed and added to the aquarium and the ๐ ๐ have grown si much bigger and larger. The last time time we was there. When a baby crocodile just been born. And was his,her birthday.as we made it I'm time. Yummie cake it was. An now was sad to see less butterflies ๐ฆ thou. But never mind.. the whole experience was ๐ ๐ ๐ ๐ ๐ ๐๏ธ ๐
My 1y/o daughter had the best time!! The butterflies were her favourite part. We also loved the train, it goes around twice. Dinosaurs part was fascinating for her. The service was great. Food was yummy.
Good fun, my child was happy and that made me happy -food was good and experience was cool for both of us being out of towners
Great experience for the whole family. We loved every section of the park and the facilities were great as well. Will definitely recommend Butterfly Creek to friends and theyโll see us again
So Dinosaur park! Flying dragoons! Room full of butterflys. Kids favorite! Train ride is fantastic just don't know the reason for separate ticket!
Wonderful day out with the family as booking went smoothly..no ๐ problem at all ..so that's a five star ๐ from me and my family..highly recommend ๐
Stated on website that covid is impacting the importing of butterflies so we were prepared that there wouldn't be many on display compared to previous visits. However there is so much to see and do at Butterfly Creek, aquariums ๐ ๐ the crocodile show๐ farm park ๐ท๐๐๐ดand train ride with the dinosaurs ๐ฆ all highlights for our wee girl. Great activity easily spend 2-3hours here. Can't wait to visit again soon
Lots of adventures for the kids. Love the walking Dino too!
Highly recommend this place, easy access for prams, lots of cute Dinoโs, good food and friendly farm animals
Wow what an amazing place so much on offer! And the kids and the adults enjoyed it. Great array of animals/reptiles/butterflies. Must do if u havenโt! We will be going back!
Book me site could of had that open times are 9.30am and didnโt face to be there at 9.30am, as slots for bookings were timed and slots taken at 11am. Travels from Cambridge and didnโt realise didnโt have to leave so early and had someone who could of come
