A great way to spend the day. Started with Hot Water Beach, then a bit of walk to Cathedral Cove, ending with a hike up Mt Paku for the views. Be ready with some drinking water. The experience was made even better by our awesome guide and driver, Clay.

Everyone should do this day trip with Clay. So chill and personable, knowledgeable about the areas you visit and a good laugh. The trip itself is breathtaking and you get to see a lot of natural beauty. Highly recommend.

My friend and I had a lovely day out on this tour. We are both in our mid 60s, fit and active, love adventures and meeting nice people. This tour fulfilled exactly what was described in the itinerary, there was flexibility and the driver was an absolute star. There were plenty of stops for refreshments (not provided) and bathroom breaks. There were 7 of us (including the driver) from 6 different countries so we had an interesting conversations also. By the end of the day some of us had exchanged details so that we can stay in touch. I recommend this tour.

It was such a nice day with Clay who showed us around throughout the day. The weather was also great and we enjoyed a lot, especially digging hot water in hot water beach. It was a fantastic experience!! Clay is a very funny and thoughtful guide, and very friendly. I really recommend the day tour to everyone.

Chris and the team were fantastic. We would highly recommend giving their boat tour a go when you are in Whitianga. The boat is clean comfortable and spacious. Commentary is top notch and the snorkelling was so much fun! We were lucky enough to visit the cave, along with the marine reserve and cathedral cove is just as stunning from the water, as it is from the beach itself. My son of 5 had a great time - we would definitely do it again when next in the coromandel.

We had a fabulous time with Adam and Ella! They knew everything about anything! We got up close to cathedral cove as well! The stunning views and breath taking beaches! We went right inside a cave and saw some beautiful fish. We also had the chance to go snorkeling to see some Red Snapper up close!! Such an amazing tour!

A view you can’t miss

Air Auckland went above and beyond during our scenic flight to Whitianga. We were transported in a luxurious, air-conditioned shuttle from the airport to the restaurant, making our journey comfortable and hassle-free. Mike, our pilot, was friendly and communicative, pointing out interesting sights along the way. The views were stunning, and the well-maintained plane added to the overall experience. We also had a delicious lunch at Stoked, which was a great addition to the trip. Overall, I highly recommend Air Auckland for anyone looking for a unique and unforgettable experience in Auckland. Their exceptional service and attention to detail made the trip a memorable one.

Lovely time kayaking to cathedral cove. 4 hours was just the right time to walk, relax and snack. We were lucky it was a calm day. Though still a challenge to get the kayak back in the water. Need to be relatively strong to drag the kayak back to the leaving spot.

Excellent experience end-to-end. Have already recommended company + trip to others. Loved being able to move around bow to stern…or stay inside in very comfy seats if wished. Toilet onboard a bonus & great for a quick change after snorkelling (optional but I recommend…appreciated that life jackets are freely offered to make your floating easier & which I + others took up)

Well paced informative tour of the marine reserve ( incl Cathedral cove) with time for swimming / snorkelling. Local guides who know their stuff. Warm shower onboard to rinse off after swimming followed by hot chocolate. What more could you ask for? Highly recommended.

Thanks to Chris and his team for an absolutely amazing trip out and around Whitianga. The boat and facilities were amazing, loved the commentary about the local landmarks and history. We did the 2.5 Hours Cathedral Cove tour and had a fantastic experience. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and attentive throughout the whole activity. They made everyone feel comfortable and well taken care of. The equipment provided was very complete and well prepared, which made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. One highlight that really stood out was the hot water shower available afterwards, such a thoughtful touch and very much appreciated after being in the water. Overall, everything was very well organized and the team was wonderful. Highly recommended!

I love love the experience it was so nice to be out on the water.. the tour was great and you get to snorkel.. unfortunately I couldn't due to wearing prescription glasses so take that into account when booking. Either way I still jumped in and had a great time. Would recommend

Fantastic guide and although the weather wasn’t great he made sure we saw a lot and his local knowledge was well received. He also took several group family photos with different iconic backgrounds.

We may not able to access the Cathedral Cove, but we are so glad that we booked Sea Cave Adventure that we were able to see it and explored the other beautiful caves and islands around Coromandel Peninsula. It's totally fun and worth it, a must try adventure. Ash, your the best!

We had a great time on the sea cave adventure. Ash really knew the history of the area and ask the best spots. The boat was able to get into the caves where the bigger boats couldn't go.
