An amazing team working together to create a wonderful dining experience. The food was fantastic! Highly recommend, will be back.
The beef spare ribs and definitely worth trying!! For side dishes, green salad, banana milanesa and pineapple are my favourites. I will be back someday
The food is really good. How it works is that they will bring the food around the tables and you just tell them whether or not you want the food. To get your money's worth I would recommend avoiding the chips as they made us really bloated after it expanded in our stomach. The desserts are a must try even though it is extra cost. Avoid the churros and dessert shot, but the other 3 is a must order. The grilled pineapple and fried bananas are a must try, especially since it is on the menu. Just note that the food overall is a little on the salty/more seasoned side so you might get thirsty quite easily. Definitely wort
If you love bbq meat, this is the place to go to! Great meat selections and side dishes. Tapped out on the first full round. Definitely a must try! Don’t be fooled by the look of the small portions on the plate, the food is constantly refilled, you can have as much as you want on your specific favourite skewers. 5 stars for the customer services too!
Food was nice and staff is very friendly.
The waitress was very kind and nice. The restaurant has a very warm and cosy vibes which is a personal plus point for me. The only catch is that you can only get a discount for one entree and one main which might not be enough for some. The quality of the food food was within expectation. The lamb stank I had was very soft and tender, but the curry was a little overpowering and would have gone well with rice.
We ordered chicken waffles, eggs Benedict, and open steak sandwich. All the food was delicious would highly recommend other people to try it and the restaurant part is family friendly we took our 4 month old son. The only negative would be the ice coffee was very strong but this restaurant still deserves 5 stars!
This was a follow up on our visit here recently, and again we were not disappointed. The food was very good. Compliments to the chef:) The staff were pleasant and helpful. The place was fair buzzing, but still quiet enough in the restaurant. We enjoyed our time here. I would highly recommend a visit.
The food is really perfect combination. We ordered Soy honey pork spare ribs and Pork belly. The staffs are friendly. The atmosphere is also great. The Yummy and worthy!! My gf prefers the spare ribs. We would go again next time. Would recommend to be 5-stars restaurant.
The service was fantastic, the food absolutely delicious.
When we arrived, it was fair humming with people. We had no issues getting a park. What a great atmosphere inside with people of all ages. We went for a meal and were greeted by the friendly staff. They have a good variety of meals and drinks to choose from. The meals deserved a 10/10. Compliments to the chef. I was really impressed and we will be going back.
Yummy Food and good service

We really enjoyed the time at Willowbank with reasonable price thanks to book me.
Have been coming here since I was small and Willowbank never disappoints. It's always on my list of an attraction to bring my visitors to in Christchurch! Budget 10 extra dollars for eel, bird and farmyard feeding!
Got to see some very special birds while visiting my young sons. Staff are very approachable and knowledgeable. Enough opportunities for photos.. Apart from the kiwis which I was so happy to have seen! Definitely worth a return trip next time I'm visiting NZ.
We love it here and our little girl loves the horses
Always a 10/10 visit love this place ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I had less than 24 hours in Christchurch and Willowbank was my first stop. I was not disappointed. Like many others, I'm sure, my priority was to see a kiwi. Which I did! But there's so much more there and I encourage visitors to take the time to explore. I was particularly mesmerized by the waterfowl, and probably spent a bit too much time hanging out with the wallabies (only because it was getting to be closing time. I could spend forever with wallabies). I was by myself, but it looked to me like the kids who were there were having a great time, too.
Great place with the kids
Lovely walk. That keeps the children on the right track, not many places to wander, which is great for young children, and easy access for prams.Lovely place to stop and eat.Oh yeah and the animals were a hit.
Fantastic place for any age group. Very interactive, great variety of animals. You can feed them, very friendly animals. Lovely Cafe for lunch. Highly recommend.
Absolutely loved it, hands on and amazing, you need to dedicate more Atleast 3 hours to really take it all in A++++
Ammazing day out with the family
We went for our daughters 3rd birthday and had a blast! Really enjoyed th layout of the place and how user friendly it is there. The native animals are fantastic and feeding the eels was so cool!
This is such an awesome place, a great interactive experience for our young children. We were a little late arriving at 4pm and the lady at the counter was quick to tell us we only had an hour. We didn’t mind but thought she could of been a bit more friendly
Had a lovely day. Thanks willowbank!!!
I am so glad I took Willow (7). We drove from Dunedin and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. So much to see and so many animals to interact with. Very friendly staff and a great wee place. Will be back again
So bookme specifies that we can come half an hour or less before (or after) the time stipulated on the booking for this business. The girl was FAR FROM PLEASED that we had exercised this rule. She was quite frankly, a word that rhymes with witch and I quite unimpressed with her professionalism, nevermind we had flown to CHCH and had been spending quite a bit of money in her region that we needed to save a bit here. We also weren't offered a map, there was no formalities whatsoever. With that aside, my 7yo loved the place, I think this age group would thoroughly enjoy this place, possibly 7-10... the toddlers were exhausted a quarter of the way round (just from observations). We really enjoyed all the animals and obviously all the little baby chicks who were all very cute and the teenager ducks being scolded by their mothers frequently. The Kea's were awesome, I'm pretty sure they're slowly plotting their escape. Was sad to see some very distressed quail's stuck inside, with their friends taunting them inside. I would recommend, even if we had a terrible entrance. Luckily we did come early because it took us 2.5 hours to walk around and the place closes at 5pm. We finished at 4:30pm.
I thoroughly recommend visiting the Ko Tane experience, with Kiwi tour and Hangi. It was our last big experience before my parents head home to the UK and we finished on a high! The explanation of everything was great and the food was as fantastic! It was a lovely touch that my dad was selected as visiting Chief. I can’t recommend this enough!
Had a great time there. Be careful with kangaroos!:)
