A wonderful experience from start to finish, I enjoyed every minute of my Pamper Package! Lois is a very experienced beauty therapist with a gracious and caring attitude. I definitely felt pampered and I won’t hesitate to book in again when next I visit Christchurch.

What an amazing mini golf course. Very clever course lots of obstacles and challenges. Each hole has a theme and a little piece of Christchurch history attached to it. The staff were friendly and very helpful too. They also do cruiser bikes and tandem bikes.

Absolutely loved the morning out. Great to see the use of bits from around Christchurch post quakes. Very cool to see the history at each hole too.

I've been wanting to try the duck's fat potatoes for a while. They were a treat. Staff are very efficient and the place has a cosy atmosphere.

The food portions were larger than expected, just that if you will be disappointed if you are ordering anything other than steak; the pork cheek and and lamb on bone were quite small. Taste wise it was not disappointing but wasn't mind blowing either. The entrees were amazing, especially the fried chicken which was really tender and juicy. It would not be an understatement to say that it was better than the steak. The potatoes that came with the pork cheek were rather bland. The service provided by the waiters and waitresses were really good and they were always ensuring that our glasses were filled and checking on whether we liked the food or not. The food was also served surprisingly quickly even though the house was packed. We made a order for a main while the whole restaurant was filled and still managed to get the food within around 15 minutes.

We ordered The Butchers Board and a few Mojitos, such an amazing feast! Loved the entire experience and the waitress was above exceptional in her service and smile, very personal and loved chatting with her. Thank you for a lovely evening.

Warm welcome by staff, dining area was comfortable. The menu has a great selection of food, came here with my family for an early birthday dinner. Everyone found the food yummy, I loved my Wakanui steak 😊

We just had to try the Butchers Board to share and were glad we did. Of all the meat on the board, the short ribs were the most tender and flavourful. Surprisingly however, the most rare beef was also the least tender and quite chewy. Overall everything on the board was tasty and enjoyable. The dessert was a letdown however. The white chocolate torte was dry with icing that was quite gritty in texture and had no real flavour. The white chocolate bark and truffle that came with the torte were nice but this would not be a dessert I would recommend. Service was excellent so for that reason I gave an extra star and wouldn’t hesitate to come back to The Carlton to try some other dishes.

We had our dinner here last Saturday. It was superb. My family of four love the food selection. Great for kids as well, since they have a variety of options. Good value for money and great service. We will definitely come back.

Very speedy, I was amazed how quickly the meal was served. And such nice staff- the man who greeted me and the lovely woman with hair in a bob, you made it such a nice experience. Good food, nice ambience. Low key music. The acoustics were quiet good, so the restaurant was quiet and serene. I was eating on my own and it was a really comfortable place to be and eat. Thanks.

It was amazing starter and main and a drink was under $50 each for two my meat was sooo tender and yummy , thank you vibe was good happy waiter did a good job helpful not to chatty well done ‘the dish ‘ gorgeous inside too
