Approximately 12 h trip, totally worth it. The driver was nice, knowledgeable and funny. The time at Mt Cook was just enough to do one walk. The driver was kind to take photos of me. I totally recommended this trip if you are in Queenstown and have done Milford Sound.

Pack a lunch and throw stones in the lake, or on the ice in winter. Great way to spend the day in Mt Cook

I tried to get a flight booked from every place traveling from Wellington too Queenstown on the off chance I looked on line came accross bookme .co.nz and they managed to get me on a Helicopter Fight at Franz Josef I cannot put into words how wonderful it was to see the Glacier powerful magic such a privilege Marion

If you are short of time and are not fit enough to do the HeliHike, the 20 min helicopter flight with snow landing is a great experience to bring you to the top and middle of the glacier to experience the magnificence of nature.

A great trip had by myself & Fiona. Landing on the snow was our biggest highlight as well as having a talk with Tim our pilot. The young woman at the office was very friendly and looked after us very when taking us to the chopper pad.

It was absolutely fantastic! Thoroughly enjoyed every minute. The helicopter pilot was brilliant. Highly recommend the experience!

Absolutely fantastic experience to be landing on Franz Joseph glacier.

One of the best short walks in NZ, takes about 3 hours there and back. Can start from the car park here or walk from the village. Has 3 large swing bridges like this, and.a glacial lake at the end.

An unreal experience that allowed us to see the glacier from a different perspective! Our second time doing this and it was just as incredible as the first time round! We recommend this to all our friends that travel to New Zealand. As the pilots say, if you can fly - fly, because you could travel to the West Coast 100 times and never get the chance due to weather. Make the most of the opportunity if it’s there!

We flight at 1pm for the twin glaciers with landing. It was awesome, great pilot and nice staff. Highly recommend

This has to be the highlight of the past 15 months I’ve spent in this country. I couldn’t stop smiling! The staff are very professional and put your comfort above everything else. If they need to get another helicopter, they’ll do it, no question. It was my first time in a helicopter and first time over the twin glaciers. I had the best time! Thanks again!

The heli hike was one of the most memorable things we have done in NZ. All the staff were super friendly and our guide Jon was really nice and informative. There was hardly any waiting around so you do get a lot of time on the ice. The price is very expensive but for an experience that you will probably only do once, it is fairly reasonable.

One of those once in a lifetime experience. Such, beautiful ,amaxing,diverse scenery.Its awe inspiring.You get such a view of the grandeur of the glacier from the helicopter. Truly incredible.

Weather is perfect. If you went on summer, do not wear too much, a T shirt is fine. They will provide you jacket and pants. It’s gonna be so hot when you start walking!!

We were lucky enough to have two guides take the small group of four that we were with on our day tour from Queenstown to Mount Cook. What a lovely day Shane and Kreig provided. The pace of the twelve hour trip was finally tuned and perfectly managed. There was interesting information provided along the way and a generally relaxed approach to how the day unfolded, which only added to the pleasant experience. We had such a great time. It was well organized and we felt completely safe the entire time. The helicopter flights were quick, but very cool. Our guide was very knowledgeable and fun. We got to explore ice caves and crevasses which were super cool. The company will provide you with proper boots, mitts, socks (all clean), rain jacket and cramp ons. These are included in your tour cost.

We were a group of 6 people including our greate guide Anna. Weather was absolutely perfect, without any cloud in the sky. We flew up to the Tasman glacier then we were walking on ice with crampons about two hours and then helicopter picked us on a different spot and we flew back. Anna told us a lot of interesting facts about glaciers and mountains and we felt safe for the whole time. We had many opportunities to make unique photos. Walking wasn't very hard, so it was more relaxing trip. We certainly recommend this experience.

We booked at 3PM but the staff allowed us to join 1PM flight then they could fulfill the flight capacity and we did not have risk from 3PM flight cancellation on unmet minimum flight capacity. While I was there, they allowed only to fly from Fox. There was no flight from Franz Josep anymore so I needed to change my plan to Fox earlier to catch the flight even I booked Franz Josep. Stunning view during the flight for both Glaciers in departure and returning. The snow landing on Mt Cook was magnificent. we landed on fresh snow with clear blue sky. 10 minutes there was worth.

Was great to meet this amazing people and have a great experience. They gave us enough time and took time to explain and answer all our questions. Very caring and genuine. Was a great ride and experience must do it.

A must do in NZ whether your visiting or a local like us ! We are so happy with our experience amazing views everywhere you look. This experience is weather dependent and if they fill the flight so I recommend staying in Franz Josef or fox glacier.

First time ever in a helicopter, and it was amazing! We had a small 5 person helicopter, and it was so agile. We also had a perfect day for this acitivity, which is the highlight of our NZ visit

Went down to the Fox Glacier office in the afternoon before our scheduled flight the next day, and was offered a flight right away. So up we went for a amazing flight up the Fox Glacier and right around Mt. Cook, because the cloud was down over Franz Josef. It was great the we could go a day early and modify the flight to suit conditions. We all really enjoyed the flight and commentary. Poured the next day with no flights

What an incredible experience! The Pilot was fun, knowledgeable and I enjoyed every minute! Taken to the top and played in the snow! Was one of the best things I've ever done! We even had a snow Fight which was a blast! 5 stars a MUST DO!

This was a simply incredible experience! If the forecast is fine, the 55 min Grand Traverse on a ski plane is the only one to do. In a plane you go further for less money than a helicopter. The pilot and staff were also great. Flying around Mount Cook and Mount Tasman, seeing the West Coast, all the glaciers and finally landing on the biggest one of them all was the best hour of our trip/year. Like someone else said, if you have to save somewhere else on your trip do it but take this flight.

Great tour, fit well with our trip from Queenstown to lake tekapo. Our pilot was a legend, very knowledgeable about the land and glacier. Amazing views of mt cook, we were the only helicopter on the glacier too.

Easy way to see glacier from close. Helicopter ride was awsome and the snow landing was the best part of flight.

This is highly recommended in Mt cook. The view was amazing. We landed in the glacier and got chance to enjoy the soft snow. Wonderful. Credit to the pilot for such a stable fly.

We had a wonderful flight with a great pilot. The scenery was amazing and the weather perfect. At the end we built a snowman almost at the top of the Tasman Glacier.

We debated whether to pay out for the more expensive helicopter trip and I'm so glad we did. The views were amazing, the snow landing was perfect and the drive down to Mt Cook airport was just simply stunning. The pilot was knowledgeable, friendly and had no problems in answering our questions or taking the photos that we wanted. We would highly recommend people pay that little bit extra for this experience!

Lisa at the check in desk was very friendly and efficient. Rossco, our ski plane pilot was very informative and gave us the experience of a lifetime. Thank you - we will definitely be recommending this experience to our family & friends.
