Great experience from start to finish. Bridget kept us up to date after 1st trip was cancelled due to the weather. Andrew picked us up on time and pilot Ewan was great pointing things out during the flight and even warning us when to expect a wee bump or two. Cruise was also brilliant. The captain and crew kept us well informed. We’re worth the cost.
Whilst Milford Sound in its own right is a place of majestic beauty and grandiosity, the flight from Queenstown to Milford with True South Flight, was a real gem! So much beauty seen, so much interesting and valuabke information given by our friendly and professional pilote, Kevin (?). More than worth its price!
Best birthday present when I go back I'd definatly be doing this trail again loved the river crossings ??
A Fantastic and awesome horse ride through magnificent and beautiful scenery, fabulous staff a must do!?
Yep that's all I can say is AWESOME got some amazing photos, the staff are so great, my flight was rescheduled due to the worst rain ever, the staff booked me in for the next day & as I was coming from Wanaka I had to ring really early to see if the trip would be on & there was someone at the end of the phone which I was surprised about so a big plus for me. I would defiantly recommend these guys.
From the lovely bus driver to the knowledgeable guide and well looked after horses, this guided trail ride is one of the best I’ve experienced. The back drop of mountains, rivers and forests is best appreciated on a horse!
The High Country Horses, Rees River Trail was such a wonderful experience. The staff were friendly and helpful, our trail guide was lovely and had a lot of knowledge of the surrounding area and the horses themselves. I would definitely suggest taking gloves and warm socks though, it was very cold on a horse in winter, especially when you're in the shade. There were warm socks at the stables that could be purchased if need be. Horses looked well looked after and had plenty of food and grass to graze.
Really fun place to take kids but great for anyone of any age! Lot of animals that you can get up and close and personal to, you can feed most of the animals and interact with them in the field. Also a lot of smaller animals like rabbits and Guinea pigs.
I booked this experience for my family of 4 as my 11yo daughter loves animals, with the expectation that she’d enjoy it and our 14yo son would think it was just ok. I was wrong! We all had so much fun and really enjoyed our visit and ended up staying for around 1.5 hours. The staff were really friendly, the views amazing and the animals so damn cute. Would definitely recommend a visit, especially with the discounted tickets via Bookme.
A great drive and spent a good hour at the farm feeding animals and having a good yarn with the owners. Great even for master 8 and 10 to enjoy.
not huge but big enough to spend more than an hours time there with the friendly animals! my 8 year and the adults together had so much fun and got so many fun photos!
Fun experience for the kids. Great to feed the farm animals and see the sheep shearing. Nice hosts. Our little one 3 years old wanted to cuddle the bunnies and was a little disappointed they were in pens he couldn't go into. But he cuddled and kissed all 3 dogs who were very approachable. Good fun.
Staff/owners were absolutely amazing! So friendly and welcoming. Well looked after animals with lots of space to roam with very clean looking paddocks/pens. Wonderful that you can feed the animals and even get into the paddocks with some of them. Though it is a very short experience. Perfect for just a morning activity.
Good for kids and families. Feeding the animals was fun.
Lovely friendly people. Fantastic views. Good variety of animals to pet and feed. Alpacas were my favourite. Also bought some very fresh, and tasty, eggs! Well worth a visit.
We love how friendly the animals is and the view is really amazing.
We had an awesome day at Glenorchy farm. The staff are amazing. The Farm is not that big but it’s just stunning. Great for my two year old and she loved watching the sheep shearing and playing on the old tractor. The drive from Qtown to Glenorchy is rated number one things to do in Qtown on TripAdvisor hence why we went so ended up at the farm by fluke but so glad we did. The drive was stunning and the farm and animals were so much fun for my baby. Great day out.
Stunning view, lovely owner and cute animals!
Nice place for a visit. I recommend, the animals are kind and easy to deal it! Enjoy
Very warm and welcoming owners! Stumbled upon this when browsing through fun activities to do near Queenstown and it exceeded our expectations. Went in a group of 5 and we had such an amazing time! The animals are very friendly and will approach you, we also had this beautiful view of snowcapped mountains! Highly recommend to anyone!
This was a great place to take the family to see and feed the different animals All the animals were super friendly, we all had a great time And the drive out to Glenorchy was nice too , well worth the trip
Place is great, staff is lovely and very helpful. The animals are friendly and you feel like a kid again!
Totally worth it!! Lots of up close and feeding animals.
Had a great time here and one of the highlights was to be able to walk through the paddock with the animals. Thank you to the staff and the farmer
Adventures Experience with my Family
Always such a beautiful experience at GAE with rob and the team! My girlfriend and I went together and had the whole place to ourselves! Rob even let us feed the possums which was awesome! Never gets boring being able to interact with the animals! A must do day out with friends, family or even on your own when coming to Queenstown.
This is definitely a must try when you drive to Glenorchy! It was about 45 minutes to 1 hour drive from Queenstown CBD. The experience is very unique as you get to interact very closely with different farm animals such as pigs, Llamas, Sheep, Deer, Goats, and many more! The payment for entry came with a bag of treats, and the staff at the front give you very clear instructions on how to feed the animals. There were 4 of us so we were handed 2 bags of treats. There is also an option to purchase covers for your shoes in case the day is a bit wet (This was the case for when we went). It was definitely an unforgettable experience and we were so glad to be able to do this when we visited. Thank you!
Great experience for the young and the old. Great customer service and we loved feeding the friendly animals and enjoying the beautiful backdrop. Definitely recommend a visit!
Could not recommend it more - great staff, friendly animals and jaw-dropping scenery, they’ve got it all! Don’t leave Glenorchy without visiting!
Couldn't be happier with my experience. This is a great time of year to go as there are adorable baby animals at the moment, I was fortunate enough to bottle feed a lamb. Well worth a visit.
The owners are very kind and the animals are lovely ?
The team here are so welcoming my group felt like home. This is by far the best the best experience of our trip, we arrived and despite weather conditions it was still the BEST!!! the animals are so well trained, the staff are soooo lovely and absolutely enjoyed every bit. Worth the long drive and the last minute booking too! I would definitely come back again! ❤️ If you are contemplating to go, I 100% recommend!!!!
Had a fun day at the Animal Experience in Glenorchy. New spring lambs on the ground were amazing to see, if you have an opportunity to get out there we highly recommend. The road from Queenstown is a beautiful drive - stunning all the way. We have a couple of city kids (6, 8) having their first close up with large animals. Follow the instructions of the friendly staff and watch nervous kids turn into animal lovers in no time. Goats, Llamas and even the huge cow got pats and cuddles.
Walking around and meeting and feeding the farm animals in Glenorchy was a wonderful experience. The animals were lovely, the staff were kind and helpful, and it was an interesting way to learn more. Highly recommend :)
I had SO MUCH fun petting the animals! Feeding alpacas and petting a sheep that comes close to you as asks for cuddles! Not to say the gorgeous fluffy donkey that lives with the fluffy pig that opens his mouth straight away for you to drop a bite from the top! Hahha Definitely recommend and definitely will come back!
