Take in the full 360-degree panorama of Queenstown’s most loved features — the Remarkables, Lake Wakatipu, the town, and beyond!
There’s something quietly unforgettable about seeing Queenstown from the water. The Remarkables rising around you, the lake stretching out in every direction, and a moment of calm to take it all in. Million Dollar Cruise brings that feeling to life — a 90-minute journey through Queenstown’s most iconic scenery, hosted by a local crew who make you feel like part of the story.
Departing right from the main jetty in town, this classic boat cruise is relaxed, scenic, and refreshingly personal. With smaller groups, uninterrupted 360-degree views, and warm, genuine commentary, it’s a hidden gem that slips easily into your day — and lingers in your memory long after.
You’ll cruise past the Remarkables, historic homes, secluded bays, and the ever-changing face of the town — all from the comfort of a locally owned vessel with a story of its own. There’s a fully licensed bar onboard, friendly faces at the helm, and no crowds or pressure — just time to take it all in.
This is one of Queenstown’s best-value experiences. A scenic cruise that’s simple, soulful, and quietly unforgettable.

Kia Ora Aisling, Thank you for the great review, We are so happy to hear that you would recommend Million Dollar Cruise!
If you look on Google Maps, the cruise starts in Queenstown, then heads around the corner and up to Frankton, in what’s called the Frankton Arm. The majority of the cruise is taken up looking at ultra-expensive houses on the shore. Captain Dan was very articulate and kept up a constant commentary. Small children need to be kept quiet, and there is a designated area for them, should that be necessary. The upper deck is limited to 20 persons at a time. The boat is very stable, with only a little rocking caused by larger wakes. There are beverages on board for purchase, including in July, mulled wine, which was yummy. Food is limited to snacks and a sandwich.
Thanks for joining us and for your feedback. We're glad you enjoyed Captain Dan’s commentary, the smooth ride, and the mulled wine! We understand everyone’s preferences differ, and we appreciate your thoughts on the route and offerings. Your input helps us improve and we hope to welcome you aboard again someday!
We had so much fun!

Million $$ Cruise
With the Earnshaw out of action until September '25 we opted for a family cruise on the Million Dollar and well worth it. Light hearted and insightful narration from Captain Dan and drinks served on the top deck by 1st Mate Em. Would definitely recommend.
