We sat inside and saw just how busy they were, and several times they had to deal with customers that were a bit rude - which they handled admirably. One waitress had her food sitting on the bar the entire time we were there - they were so busy she did not have a chance to take her break and eat! They were also courteous to us the entire time and did not seem stressed at all, although I'm sure they were. I don't know if they were understaffed due to Covid or if this was normal. If the latter, I suggest that the owner hire another person for busy Saturday evenings - or at least make sure their existing staff are paid handsomely. The food was okay. It was competent and we were happy with what we got for the BookMe price, but I don't think we would've been happy had we paid full price. The portions are reasonably large though. It's fine for food from a pub but we'd been expecting a bit better as the name "Bendix Stables" sounded quite fancy! It was fine, just nothing special.
