I took the trip advisor advice and took the small boat cruise with Mitre Peak Cruises and it paid off! It felt personable, fewer people for sure. Boat got real close to the cliffs and able to feel mist from the waterfall . Kahu ( the skipper) gets 10/10 for great commentary and for spotting the wildlife ( seals, penguins in and out of water) and a pod of dolphin’s - a memory for keepsakes! Leo the other crewmen was very engaging and provided great facts despite initially translating for a French couple! Leo offered and took many photos for all customers!! Thanks Kahu and Leo for making it a magical trip for us!!
