A lovely afternoon
The thermal pools of Wairakei terraces are so nice that I'm planning to go back soon! Nothing fancy, but really comfortable, the choice of different temperatures for the water is really nice.

Could do better
The one shower in men’s changing room was out of action. There are no fresh water fountains near pools for hydration. Pool users have to buy bottled water. Rubber mats on paths had gravel in parts. Having said that the pools were clean and setting striking.

Bliss. Absolutely awesome :)
Perfect adults only escape. Arrived in the sunshine, soaked during the twilight. Experienced the variety of different temperature pools which was great to adjust as different levels became too much to handle or not quite enough… then it started to rain, which was great timing! We were done but many folks stayed soaking in the picture perfect environment. Couldn’t recommend more. Staff were super friendly!
