I start the first day of 2020 with this tour to visit Waiotapu. It was such a fantastic experience. My guide Goeff is very friendly and we had lots of chats while we go there. Luckily I was the only tour goer on that day so could get more info about the unique geological landscape of Rotorua. He first gets you off at “Mud pool” near Waiotapu before you get there and that place was interesting as well. Once you get to your destination, you do the track on your own but he gives you various tips before you enter so you can manage it easily. Once you’ve done the first part of the track, he brings you to Lady Knox for another show. After that natural fountain, you go back to Waiotapu and do the remaining parts of the track on your own again. It takes about 4 hours for total experience and definitely worth it. Thank you Goeff for a great day trip!
