Björn said... We had been to Wai-o-Tapu before. But the Waimangu valley is way larger and it stretches. But we loved the fact that we could have a nice walk through nature as well - beautiful valley. The Emerald Lake and Inferno Crater were incredibly beautiful. We saw the geysir, actually several (one active) and the Sinterterraces are quite impressive. Because they close rather early, we were happy about the shuttle bus service. Saved us a lot of time. It is defenitly worth comming here - but come early and plan in some time. Won't be as nice if you have to run through it. For me, this was one of the best experiences on the northern Island.
