A young tour guide who really knew her history, not just of the village, but tikanga and te ao māori. A fabulous walk through the village talking about day to day live. We were shown their marae, churches, gardens, urupa, how they cook and bathe, learnt history of the village and Rotorua while stopping at various points around the village. Even had sweetcorn cooked in a hot pool. It was a fascinating insight to daily normal life. Thrilled to have seen the geysers in full flight. The show was spectacular. Great walk around the thermal areas afterwards. Highly recommend. Bookme easy to use!
