Theresa Weathers said... The program was really wonderful and well-done. Loved the music and the dance. Our guide was "Girlie" and was so interesting with personal insights into Maori life. The village felt very authentic, maybe even a bit too rustic as many houses seemed in a bit of disrepair or perhaps just needed paint. But that did not deter from the overall experience. Everyone was so friendly and I enjoyed talking with all the residents, running the facility. Ralph at the greenstone shop was especially open and informative as to life in a modern New Zealand. We chose this village over the much larger, more commercial (and more expensive) in Rotarua and we were not disappointed.
