If you have ever dreamed of riding in paradise? - well saddle up!, as this is it!

Experience Horse riding in the stunning Wild West Coast.

Franz Josef Glacier country is a stand out area in New Zealand, and provides a world class back drop to your riding adventure.

If you have ever dreamed of riding in paradise - well saddle up, as this is it!.

Experience the beauty of New Zealand's Franz Josef Glacier country on horseback. This is horse riding in paradise with a stunning backdrop of mountain ranges and rain-forest. Soak up the magnificent views of the Southern Alps and our highest peaks, and the spectacular glacier, as you trek over lush farmland, glacial moraine and the riverbeds.

Our two hour trek enables riders to canter through the fields if they wish, but at the same time provides a safe trek environment for beginners who can ride at a more leisurely pace. Ride through private farmland down to the clearest of streams.

Take time for a photo whilst on your horse in the incredible river water, with the backdrop of the snowy peaks or New Zealand's West Coast and rain forest framing you.

Our treks provide the personal touch and allow riders to get to know each other and this gives the guides an opportunity to offer riding tips along the way.

Price: $170 Per Person (minimum 5 years of age)

Absolutely amazing!

Absolutely fantastic, both the views and the guides were amazing. I loved how I was able to go and canter away from the group in a controlled manner, the freedom was great.

Awesome experience

What a great way to see the coast. The horses are great, the guides friendly and relaxed. If you're looking for a different way to view the glacier or scenery then book this.

Avoid it if possible.

I booked horse trekking during Christmas break. Unfortunately, it was pouring rain, strong wind and very foggy weather. It wouldn’t be any pleasure to trek for 2 hours in such a terrible weather and not even mention that there would be no visibility of glacier. Not to mentioned, that it would be the best way to spend the rest of my vacation with flu and fever. I checked with the owner of horses if it’s possible to cancel my slot. The owner refused to cancel and still refuse to provide any refund. They don't care about customer experience from the ride, just about money.

Just a walk

Quite disapointed. We just ride, and the guide did not speak at all about the horses.
