Highlights include:
Small , but enough to keep you busy for a few hours.kids will love it .my husband and me enjoyed it and would like to return again . Sain was awesome on arrival and leaving what a awesome customer service chick.clean facility and the farm area was a fav .thanks for a awesome day off
This place was crazy and very unorganised to handle the amount of people - clearly with the Auckland free vouchers from the government people were coming to use them. First - they couldn’t find our booking, then people were all standing next to each other , no attempt by the staff to allow social distance between customers when trying to pay / enter. Once in the park it was nice but the animals water ponds were so green you couldn’t see much , was a odd arrangement of animals. Lack of staff around the park so some interesting mask wearing , lack of hand sanitizer around the park at common touch area, and clearly more then 100 people in the park which is against the current red setting. The dinosaurs were fun when they moved , the farm animals were good to see - just would be nice to see some more safety for customers over profit when in a pandemic setting.
Hi there, thank you for your feedback. Under the government regulations as a public venue we are permitted to have more than the 100 that you refer to. Similar to a mall there are no limits on numbers. Our park is huge with plenty of different spaces and heaps of room for social distancing of more than 1 metre per person. Yes on Saturday we were busier than expected for a short period of time as the weather was forecasted to be bad on Sun/Mon and we had more walk-ins than expected. We have processes in place to manage capacity including shutting off BookMe and our own online bookings, social distancing signs and staff guiding people where possible. However just like all other similar venues and shopping malls etc we do rely on visitors using common sense and taking some personal responsibility. As for hand sanitiser, we have no fewer than 8 hand sanitiser stations for visitors to use as well as ample hand washing facilities. We assume you are referring to the alligators and the otters pools. As you might appreciate animal welfare is the prime consideration and so water is never allowed to become unhealthy. The levels of ”green ness” can fluctuate with weather. In hotter weather they can get greener faster. The water is changed regularly and we have an appropriate chemical regime for the pools. We are however limited as to the level of chemicals we can apply. This varies according to the animals needs. Crocodilians in particular, being ambush predators, actually prefer a greener pool and their natural habitat is not one of pristine waters.
Not many butterflies due to the Pandemic, other attractions are ok. The food, coffee and gift shop are surprisingly good. I'm glad we didn't pay full price.

Food not suitable for everyone
As a Muslim, I am unable to eat from their restaurant and we are not allowed to bring in our own food. Making it an inconvenience as we have to leave the premises to have a snack or lunch. Meaning we are not spending enough time in there for the children to really enjoy it. My son loves spending time ther since he was 2 years old.
