Get your adrenaline pumping with this ultimate adventure - canyoning the breath-taking Sleeping God Canyon!

Be blown away by stunning waterfalls and pristine pools as you make a vertical descent of over three hundred metres through territory accessible only by canyoning.

This thrill-filled tour is packed with excitement: abseiling up to 80 metres over waterfalls and walls cascading with curtains of water, leap into deep pools, slide down polished rock chutes and fly across 50-metre high zip lines.

The all-day fun starts with pick-up in central Auckland city at 7am and a drive down to Thames (Thames pick up available), followed by a 40 minute walk on the amazing Kauri Trail, which follows a historic bush tramway line used to ferry kauri logs down the dramatic Kauaeranga Valley.

When you arrive at the top of the canyon, expert guides help to get your gear on, practice abseiling and cover safety procedures before the real action kicks off with a stimulating 30 metre abseil down the first waterfall while water crashes into a deep rock pool below. And then.. the thrills just keep coming! More beautiful waterfalls, round pools ground out of the volcanic rock, and a flying fox with a wet landing as the final challenge to cap off an action-packed day, before being transported back to Auckland.

A sense of adventure and a reasonable level of fitness are required to explore this unique New Zealand spot. Massive jumps of up to 13 metres into the pools are optional for the brave, abseils-rappels aren't. Lunch and snacks are provided in amongst the adventure.

Daily Schedule:

• Depart Auckland 7.00am (central city pick-up)

• Swimwear, Shorts and a towel
• Suitable footwear for canyoning i.e. trainers
• Any personal medications you may require
