Round up the family for a fun and memorable day exploring New Zealand’s seafaring heritage at the Maritime Museum!

Join the crew and set sail around Auckland’s stunning harbour on the heritage scow Ted Ashby. Try your hand at hoisting the sails or sit back and enjoy the view of the city skyline while cruising on our family friendly vessel.

Once you’re back ashore, you’ll be free to explore the nautical treasures and interactive activities the museum has to offer.

The New Zealand Maritime Museum houses an extensive range of nautical and historical artefacts that represent New Zealand maritime history from the earliest Polynesian arrivals - right through to modern day yachting triumphs.

View the equipment and national treasures that accompanied the brave individuals who played part in New Zealand’s maritime history including the remarkable and inspiring story of Sir Peter Blake. You’ll get up close and personal with the amazing journeys that helped shape a nation.

The kids will have a ball testing out their balance on the rocking cabin and having a go at yacht design.

At midday each day a cannon is fired, and watch out - its louder than you think!

An interactive, engaging, and fun experience - sure to be a hit with the whole family!
