Explore the coastline of this stunning island with Waiheke Dive & Snorkel - a multi award winning dive shop!

Highlights

  • We're an award winning dive shop - We were STOKED to be winners of the Qualmark 100% Pure New Zealand Experience Award 2021! We are also a Qualmark GOLD business, and have been awarded the PADI Green Star!
  • There's no hidden costs - every piece of equipment needed to try Snorkelling is included in the costs, so no nasty surprises. All you need to bring is your swimwear, towel and a sense of adventure!
  • Small Groups - We really believe that the Discover Snorkelling Experience is best enjoyed in small groups, with maximum input from your guide. That's why, with us, you'll never have more than 8 snorkellers in the water with any 1 Guide.
  • Top Quality Gear - We work with the amazing guys at Mares to supply you with high quality snorkelling equipment for you to use
  • Stunning Coastline - maybe you'll be lucky enough to see some seahorses, pipefish, octopus, nudibranch or even some rays?

Just imagine - you put your face in the water and see the marine life. There's fish swimming, starfish making their way across the rocks and crabs darting in and out of their hiding holes. The PADI Discover Snorkelling Experience, aka guided snorkelling tour is the perfect way to explore the Waiheke coastline, with the comfort and safety of having a PADI Professional as your guide!

Simply book online and soon after you'll get a confirmation email from the team along with an information pack shortly after.

Please let us know if you have any specific requirements and we'll always do our best to accomodate (for example, if you're super nervous just let us know so we can give you some extra advice).

When you arrive in store, you'll have a chat with your PADI Instructor or Divemaster about your abilities while you complete the relevant paperwork. We'll then allocate your equipment before we travel to the chosen location for our adventure!

Once at the snorkelling site your guide will brief you about what you're likely to see and go through a thorough safety briefing, and they'll demonstrate how the equipment works. Together you'll then enter the water and see what can be found!

If you have friends that are booked on too then awesome! If not, you'll be buddied up with another participant for your time in the water!

Be warned though - this is a super addictive activity! Just ask your diver pals how many started their love of the water through snorkelling...

Discover Snorkelling Tours last about 2.5 hours from start to finish.
