If you are at Auckland for a few days I suggest you book this at the start, it can and did get cancelled due to high winds and then on the Friday it was light winds but the experience at the discounted prices was great, the crew (esp. the Skipper) were always giving information out freely and made it a great trip anyway, but due to the light winds (although we did get some speed up at one point and the Genoa was raised which was amazing and massive) we did get a voucher to go again (bit of a trip to NZ to use it but a great gestor all the same), I did get to helm the yacht twice and did a bit of grinding on the first sail raising (that was hard work!). I felt the cancellation was a little hasty as that day seemed to be a great day for sailing speaking from experience. Overall I would highly recommend if you into sailing or would like to experience something very different.
