It was such a wonderful experience- even better than expected! Unlike any plane the hot air balloon enables you to rise and fly in silence. You will gradually rise up to be almost as high as the snowy mountains ,with the fresh air, the breeze, and the non-stop picturesque scene when you overlook the beautiful Canterbury plain. It’s not cold at all with a 30m tall ballon full of hot air above you, a puff jacket will be enough. Everyone will have some hands on experience helping to set up/fold the balloon. High recommend & will remember this experience forever.

Such a great experience with amazing views of New Zealand in all 360 degrees, adventure-loving group of people and bubbles and fruit before departure to celebrate it! The team was helpful, accommodating and with a great sense of humour which made a huge contribution to the fun we had! We definitely have become baloonatics after the flight ?

Hot air ballooning was a great way to showcase the beauty of Canterbury plains and the surrounding mountains to my parents. The pilot was amazing, highly knowledgeable and full of humour. I highly recommend them!

A top day. Good sunny weather, with some cloud. Start in Methven heading south. Floating along under the clouds, then through the clouds, to above the clouds. 260 degree views simple gob-smacking outstanding. Coast to mountain ranges with snow on top. Owner / pilot Graeme Church very professional and great talking to, and full of information. Bucket list item ticked 10 out of 10. Would definitely do again. Wonderful. Cheers Graeme.

Absolutely amazing experience! Graeme and Sam were such a great team to help tick this off our bucket list! We had confidence in their flying ability and thoroughly enjoyed being involved in the process of inflating and deflating the balloon. Such a beautiful spot for this incredible activity and would highly recommend this flight.

Just brilliant . Helping setup, seeing how it's done and then whizzing up into the Canterbury skies to amazing altitudes and then catching the wind and learning about balloon flight all the way looking and marvelling at the view and serenity. Then landing wherever and ending the morning. Just buzzing....

What an incredible trip for my 45th birthday. Not only was the flight to 7,000 feet breathtakingly peaceful, but we actually got to help with the setup and pack-up of the balloon! Being part of the 'crew' and seeing how it all works from the ground up made the experience so much more immersive and fun. The crew and pilot were top-notch, and the stunning views made this a birthday I’ll never forget. Thank you for such a wonderful adventure!

Amazing experience! Beautiful morning to go with fantastic views. Graeme and Sam were just great and easy to get along with. Setting up was fun and exciting also with the packing up afterwards all topped off with a glass of bubbly and morning tea!! Thanks guys we had a blast

Where do I even begin? ... Me and my boyfriend did this whilst road-tripping the South Island for one whole month, before we flew back to the UK. Having living in New Zealand for 2 years it was our mission to tick off as many things as possible! Including: Whale watching, swimming with Dolphins, seeing wild Penguins, Quad-biking and even walking three of the great hikes. But I can say with absolute confidence that this tops them all! Additionally, 'Hot Air Balloon's' are very symbolic to myself in relation to a late family member, so this was something I've always wanted to do. This experience is simply spectacular and a truly magical experience. The guys looked after us so much and Michael made the whole experience really insightful to whilst teaching us about the Canterbury plains and mountain ranges. We loved every minute of this experience, especially assisting Michael to set up the Hot Air Balloon and the scrumptious breakfast buffet with Mimosa's at the end. We shall recommend this to everyone we meet for the rest of our lives! Thank you so very much.

Catching the sunrise! It was a perfect time and a great way to feel so relaxed and enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Canterbury plains and the mountain ranges of the Alps! I wanted to do this for such a long time and finally been able to make it and its a great fun for couple to families! I like the idea of celebrating after we landed as a way of thanking the Gods for making it to the ground safely! A tradition which they kept! Love it!

It was an amazing experience with a top pilot (Michael), with great flying experience and extreemly wellcoming. We could see fantastic landscapes and sun rise and moon getting down. At the end, we had a little of ballooning history , champaign, muffins and fruit. All was Fabulous!!! Recommend this experience to everyone.

Definitely worth it! Amazing experience and the view of Canterbury plains is something picturesque. Would do it again over the winter! The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Taking pictures and telling stories of the places around the region. After the flight, there were drinks and muffin and fruits to enjoy afterwards.

We are so grateful the weather gods finally gave us the green light to do something we have wanted to do for years! The team were amazing, very professional and we felt safe for the whole adventure. The views were indescribable, southern alps, stunning sunrise over bank’s peninsula, fog banks rolling out to sea, farm land and rivers. Such a stunning place. Highly recommended.
